Its better they are gassed for pet food then chucked into the massive mincer alive which is how many start and end their little lives  :(
If it bothers people too much id suggest to stop supporting the process by buying and eating eggs be it in egg form or processed in ready made foods, something im sure many wouldnt give up?!

I don't particularly enjoy it, no. I do go back and check after putting the mouse in to make sure Syrus hasn't been trying to eat it in the most difficult way possible, but if he's alright I leave him with it.

Well all of our cats food has some sort of meat in their food which an animal has died for lol so technically we are all quilty

I've had snakes before and there will always be a massive demand for them, is it not better for them to be humainly killed or crushed to death or some times swallowed alive lol

Sorry, having a snake I'm a little hardened to this sort of thing. Has to be said, a lot of the mice/rats etc are purpose bred for this just as our meat is. I'm assuming everyone who is protesting against this is a strict vegetarian?

I don't value those animals any less but I do recognise there's a need for them as food for other animals, and if people feel that their cat will benefit from the nutrients given I don't see what's different between that and raw feeding.

Sorry i find this all quiet strange !
So these poor chicks are killed at a day old to be feed to cats (and rats etc)....and you endorse this by buying them ?

The day old chicks are a 'by product' of the egg laying industry - male chicks obviously don't lay eggs so they are killed. If people such as cat owners, reptile owners, bird of prey owners etc,  stopped buying them it wouldnt stop them being killed. At least they are being used as food - just the same as whatever animal or bird was killed to go in your cats' tins of cat food.

And it's more humaine then when the kitties are out 'playing' with thier hunted food first lol

Mine love the day old chicks (we've got a reptile shop near us that sells frozen ones), they have them occasionally - and no, the bones arent a prob, its how they would eat in the wild after all, bones an all! Some cats take a while to realise they need to crunch - but when they get the idea theres not stopping them!  :)

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

The day old chicks just come in one size, for kittens I give pinkies to start with and move up to small mice and I give my adults large or XL ones (they're  big cats lol).

Feeding in the bath or a room with laminate flooring is recomended!! Also beware if you're squeamish as some cats won't eat all of it, Bilbo leaves feet, beaks and guts on the floor

Just buy 1 or 2 pinkies or small mice to start with as not all cats will eat them.
