I know our council take any animals found on the road to a vets for scanning and cremation. Hope you find out one way or the other whether it was Monkey or not.

Just read your thread in lost and found
I very much doubt that the council will keep bodies of cats they pick up on the road, but they may record a written description of the cat and some councils scan for a microchip. So do get in touch with them, although that will be a difficult call to make
I also would not give up hope just yet - there are lots of ginger cats and it may not have been Monkey.

we think we have found our missing baby! looks like he was in a car accident.
am gutted, although i havnt seen him the description sounds very much like him!
i know this sounds a little strange but is there anyway the council keeps the bodies for a while? just so i can def see if its him?
