Just had a call from my brother to say that his young Maine Coon Chester had to go to the Bridge today
It happened very suddenly and on Monday Chester stopped eating and on taking him to the vet they found he had a build up of fluid and his breathing was getting bad. Tests were done and his breathing was getting worse and it showed signs of him having cancer but he was in pain and getting worse and they decided to let him go to the Bridge to stop him suffering. The alternative would have been lots more tests and stuff and only prolonged his life for about 6 months but they felt in his short life he had already been through enough.
Poor Chaster has had a very rough life since coming to my brother and his wife as a kitten as he was ill from very early on and has had so many problems in his 6 years and never developed as a full size Maine Coon due to this, he was also a carrier of corona virus.
The picture was taken when Chester was a kitten.
RIP Chester, I hope you have a wonderful life on the Bridge and look for Kocka cos she will show you around.
