my call to axa has worked cos after a blissful all night slep allowed by franta i was rudely awakened by the door bell cos of a special delivery envelope that needed a signature at 0808.

was from axa with a wad of claim forms and sent yesterday to arrive by 1300 today  ;D  thank you axa but i still dont have the forms apparently sent on 18th and requested on the 13th!

I just sent Axa an email as follows:

"I have 6 cats insured with Axa. I go onto a forum for people with an interest in cats and thought you should know that a number of people are unimpressed with the delay in receiving claim forms from Axa when requested.  It has been suggested by a number of people that it would be helpful if you would make a claim form available to download from your website like other insurance companies (Sainsbury's and Petplan for instance) do"

I wonder of they'll ignore it like they ignored the last email I sent them  ;)

It maybe the one they sent with her insurance or renewal but I have used all of them from all the cats just for Franta!

I have a few claim forms here coz all 6 now Axa insured.  A claim form comes with each new policy and I got a new claim form with every claim settled.  Agree it would be helpful if they had a claim form available to download.

I can't remember how I got a claim form for Mabel last year, but Sainsbury's allow you to downlaod, and as they are underwritten by AXA, cant' understand why they dont.

I've had trouble getting forms out of AXA too, which for ongoing condiitons such as Max's, can be a pain.

If I send a pm, would someone be kind enough to send me a photocopy too?

That would be incredibly helpful  :)

why can't insurance companies provide an on-line claim form which can be downloaded?

petplan do.  whenever I've made a claim I've always just printed a claim form off.  Seems daft that others dont.

AXA to fax to my vet but as explained twice I needed them in my hand  and I think they may have sent me one by email but dont have a working printerr grrrrrrr

Thanks for the offers to send me some and someone has kidnly posted me a couple and I bet they arrive before AXAs do!

 :thanks:

I agree you should not need to wait for these and when I spoke to them on Friday last week Franta was really bad and I thought he wasnt gonna make it through the weekend and found it hard to ask for them but the lady was very nice but their bloomin system is just too slow.

Thats why I posted this cos you need to make sure you take copies of the one they send you with your policy  so you always have one around for emergencies.

Dont talk to me about bloomin Haliax......I have an account with them not insurance but their customer service who I spoke to yesterday has just dropped to the bottom of the heap and it used to be so good.

I think mine do. No one needs the extra stress of repeated phonecalls when their pet is ill  >:(

Thats awful.

Im so glad NFU were a little more prompt.  I lost Barney the morning of the 13th after being admitted the night before.  That was hard enough, phoned NFU and had claim form the following day.

Id have had steam coming out of my ears and lots of sweary words out of my mouth if id had any problems.

Fingers crossed it gets sorted quickly from now onwards.

I've phoned twice 10 days apart for a form from Halifax (underwritten by Axa) for Boopy and I've still not had one through. Not impressed as I can't book her root canal review at the dentist until I've got the claim form as the dentist needs to fill it in when she's there.

you pay your premuims and expect in a case like this they should make it painless and straightforward to claim when you are under enough strain caring for Franta as it is.... bloody insurance companies!!!

Try to take deep breaths Gill and keep at them..... thinking of you and the wee man!

Just a word to all of you with AXA insurance for your cats, please make sure you always have a claim form that you can photocopy cos I have been trying to get some claim forms for Gtanat Franta for over a week and after three calls still dont have any!

I phoned today to make a complaint and the complaint number is the same as the normal number which is useless.

I asked for forms on 13 Feb, none were sent till the 18th and they still not here. I rang again either 17 or 18th to ask for more to be sent and that wasnt even recorded on the log.

I am told despite the letter coming with the insurance that guarentees forms to be sent immediately the system does not work like that and from your call it goes on a log which then goes to adminstration and it then takes up to 5 days for them to arrive. Well its taken that long for them just to be sent out and 3 days later they still have not arrived so they were not actually put in the post!
