I did Dave's months ago when he was smaller and more accommodating, they badly need doing but unless he conked oout fast asleep he takes me touching his paws as a cue for some rough play :tired:

I wonder if I could casually ask the fosterers to do it :naughty: I daren't even attempt Chilli, she's not a carry about cat as it is so being held while I poke around her feet is never going to happen!

It really does, I was surprised how much really as I didn't take much off, just the sharp tip. I'm not surprised that you are struggling to do it on your own, don't think I'd have managed it without OH holding onto them for me!

well done :wow: It makes a huge difference doesn't it? I managed to do Ginny's once but with the pair now i'm finding it impossible to do with only 2 hands. :innocent: might have to borrow a friend to help me. :evillaugh:

Well despite saying we would wait til the girls have their vacs at the end of March/beginning of April, we got so fed up of being full of holes from 2 sets of sharp claws that we decided to clip their claws. Amber was sat all chilled out on OH's lap and I was playing with her feet, which didn't bother her at all, so I thought I would try and see what happened.

I only took the very sharp bit, about 2/3mm from the end off, miles away from the quick as I was worried about that, but it has made such a difference, they can come on our laps and knead as much as they like and it doesn't hurt a bit! Chilli was a bit less laid back about it than Amber but she still let us do it without too much fuss so I am very proud of both of them. Of course they got treats afterwards as they were so good!
