I've never had cats or seen any do this

me neither - poor Tiffany can't get within touching distance of Trigger, let alone finding herself being 'embraced' by him

Taking the dominance thing to heart, I've bought 2 more vials of Feliway to last next couple of months as Billy's mounting of Ruby is becoming rather frequent and don't want Ruby "dominated" thankee very much  ;)

I'm so glad i came across this thread my male kitten started getting frisky with my female kitten at the weekend the only problem was they were both sitting on my lap :-[

They are from separate litters and are there are a few weeks difference in age but they are totally in love, they sleep together, eat together, wash each other and even go to the loo together!

They were both neutered last month so it came as a bit of a shock when he started gyrating her/my knee ( sorry to be so rude) any way  i gave them a polite talking to and we carried on watching Dancing on Ice

Jaffa sits astride Mosi a lot  :shify: but it's a dominance thing without obvious sexual overtones  ;D

Don't know if to take him to a vet for a checkup or a secondhand shop for a raincoat.

   Set him up with computer dating  :evillaugh:

My daughter's cat, Lucky, (RIP) started to have a thing for her woolen blanket.  He was an elderly cat when he started that - well into his teens.

Then he jilted the blanket for a second hand woolen sweater. ....  They had a long and happy relationship  :naughty:

Thankfully, he never turned his unwanted attentions on to other cats  :-[

Sometimes humping behaviours can be caused by crystals causing discomfort

One of my old boys (he must be gettiing on 16) has started to get a bit frisky near me. One minute he's padding my pillow as normal , then it becomes a bit of a humping thing and as he walks away he's exposing himself - even found a very tiny wet patch on my bed last night.

Don't know if to take him to a vet for a checkup or a secondhand shop for a raincoat.

We have bailey aged 6.5 trying to mount Archie our nealry 6 month old baby - Meanwhile Miss Bejing does all the girls calling stuff and is ignored by everyone!

Bejing is off for speying come June time due to Corona virus carrying thing - vet recommended we get to a year and see how it goes and Archie is off in May for his bit removal and then that only leave Sunny puppy and he is off for bit removal in September when he is 1 or before if he starts trying to have a go at Sky - my boys and next doors all love each other and barely glance at Jazz!

Misty did this to Hamish a couple of times, and when I Irately took Misty back to the vet's to check they had properly removed His Gonads  :evillaugh:
thats when she told me this behaviour is more to do with Dominance

Through the Years Misty quite frequently...erm how shall I put this  :-[ Took His frustrations out on a plush Gofer ( I still Have it  :evillaugh: )
and it does look a bit worse for wear due to this  :evillaugh:
His current L'amour is now a plush baby orangutan  :innocent:

Misty will be 18 this year, and He still does it ( or maybe he's just bored  )

I made a vid of this a couple of weeks ago to put on youtube, I also put the sound track ( My First, My Last, My everything by Barry White)
over it  :evillaugh: but due to Copyright Violations, they wont let me upload it  >:(

but where's there's a will, there's a way  ;) :sneaky:
and I'll get it sorted as soon as I find my Win98 disc .....watch this space  ;)

Thanks Lesley. Glad it's pretty normal.  Billy has been chasing the 2 baby girls for a while now (they seem to enclourage it) but this is 1st time I've seen him "follow thru" so to speak  ;)

A couple of my neutered boys have done this to some of the youngsters in the past, so I think it is quite normal.

Forest, who has never mounted anyone in his life poor thing was the object of Matilda's attention when she came into season recently.  Matilda is due to be spayed in the next week and all my boys are done so there is no worry about her getting pregnant in the meantime, but poor Forest did look rather over-awed by so much attention from a pretty young thing.  she would folllow him everywhere with her bum low to the ground and her tail at right angles to her body.  He didn't know where to look

Not sure what to put in title but found Billy (aged almost 5 years) had assumed the position on Ruby (aged 4 months) this morning, on her back holding the scruff of back of her neck in his mouth . I shouted at him and he scarpered straight away.  What made me look was Ruby making meowing noises as opposed to usual squeaking.  Billy has of course been neutered a long time ago.  Also have noticed Freddie aged almost 7 years also neutered (apologies) licks bottoms of Ruby and her sister Millie which they allow   (I'd like to see him try on Noni  :naughty:)

Would be nice if someone could confirm this is all pretty normal? Ruby and Millie will have their ops towards end of April/early May when I hope all this stuff will stop!
