I don't wish to seem ungrateful, and my OH tipped me off to say you had sent some more 'photos.  I am so pleased that they have settled in so well, they have always been quite calm cats, one sometimes a little quieter than the other, but nevertheless, good cats all round.

Those scratchers are great, and are always well used by all ages of cats and kittens.

Thanks everyone!  They are really starting to show their personalities as well.  Bill likes his head scratched and Ben likes it stroked.  Bill tends to be a little more moody, but when he wants a stroke he purrs like a pneumatic drill!  Common to both is that they love the cat tickler.  We have got them to jump 3 feet so far to reach it!

Thanks for the kind comments - Covcats should indeed be on commission!  They are very good scratchers though - whilst looking in PAH before buying the Kalven many of the display scratchers were broken!  Not much of an advert.

The names of Bill and Ben have been confusing.  Judith used to call the black nosed cat Ben but her children Bill.  We let our children decide and they have also gone with black nose Bill and white nose Ben.

Judith has a lovely little story from her children: the black nosed cat has to be Bill because when you pay the bill you leave a tip - and Bill has a white tip on his tail!

Had my lovely cats for three weeks now and they are truly at home.  The cat scratcher from Kalven is much loved and they are the first cats I have ever known to sleep in a basket designed for cats to sleep in!  They also like sleeping on my daughters' beds and one night my son woke with a start and then fell back to sleep stroking Bill which was very cute.
