Wow, thats what i call bulk buying. Lol. I could never store that amount. I have trouble trying to store 4 bags at once. I'll def check the bags the next time i'm in PAH but at the moment i've got 2 bags of go-cat & 2 bags of joe & jills for them to munch their way through.

Just their own brand one - they do a few different own brand ones but I think the guarantee is only on the one in the silver packaging, if you do get some double check the bag in case they've changed the guarantee as my sack must have been bought about a year ago - I literally filled my car boot with the stuff and had it crammed in every kitchen cupboard

Thanks for that advice Helen, i'll keep an eye out for an offer on the PAH food & see if they have any samples i can try, thats a great policy if you can take back open bags if cats don't like it. Is it just on their own brand or any food bought from there stores?

My two boys were completely indoor only for the first year of their lives, they now go out in the (catproofed) garden but I'd say they're still 90% indoor cats as they don't go out that often.

I feed half wet, half dry.  If you're looking to change the dry food I can highly recommend the Pets at Home own brand which comes in a silver bag.  The 4kg bag is £16 which is a pretty good price as it is, but it's nearly always on offer over Bank Holidays on BOGOF or similar so I stock up.  I'm on my last sack and no sign of an offer recently so I'l have to pay full price for it! It's got very similar ingredients to James Wellbeloved but is much cheaper, PAH often have free samples by the doors to try and they also offer a 100% money back guarantee so you can even take an opened bag back for a full refund if they don't like it.

Mr T looks much bigger than my 2, Alfie is putting on muscle round his chest, part of which i'm putting down to chasing Storm & also having to compensate for only having one back leg. Neither of them are constantly yowling for food so i guess they must be getting enough. The vet commented on what good condition Storm was in last week when she had her bladder problem.

When Mr T (16) came here in October, he was a fairly chunky cat and spent a lot of time outdoors.  Since being here he has decided he'd rather be an indoor cat!  I think his resoning is that he was shut out of his previous home frequently, day and night, hence his decision to move in here
He is eating about 2/3 or a sachet per meal - and on average 3 mls a day.  He has a sprinkle of dried food too.  At night there is a bowl of dried food out for snacking - only a tiny bit but it stops them from panicking nd thinking weve forgotten them
He plays much more than he used to (although he was outside he usually curled up and slept) - in fact he goes and gets his toys for us to join in with him.  he is definitely slimmer than he was..
His favourite wet food is Felix - any variety - jelly or gravy he eats that first and lees the lumps till last 
Dried food is Purina
Cat bix are go-cat
All the food is for Senior kittizens ....
In the picture he is pinching Chloes food .... his own is hidden behind his bum!

I've just bought some joe & jills, i had to go out for some bread & milk. It's on offer at the moment incidently. I've popped some in their bowls & it's going down well with Storm not sure about Alfie yet. I think he'd eaten the last of what was in their dishes before i got back. He was more interested in the plastic bags & climbing inside them. One day he'll end up in the freezer along with the food. Lol

I can go to wherever. The supermarket or pah both are within 5 mins drive. I got my felix pouches at pah because they were on offer. 3 packs of 24 for £15. I'll have a look at all the brands you've mentioned. Is iams any good or is it all just hype & marketing?

Supermarkets stock purina one and the new natural with oats one, PAH stock the proplan range, so depends where you want to shop. If you go to PAH there are lots of other brands to look at, their own range in a grey bag is good quality and well priced

Ok i'll look out for both the next time i'm shopping. Is Purina widely available? I'm surrounded by Asda & Sainsburys. I have 3 of each within 5 mins drive. Lol. Both cats seem to prefer dried, they'll lick the jelly off the wet food & leave the meat until later. Sometimes i end up throwing it out. Although since i started them on felix i haven't thrown anything out.

Try purina one, probably the best you can get in the supermarket or joe and jills if you shop in sainsburys. With better quality foods they cost more but they dont need to eat as much, it also saves on vet bills as these cheap grainy foods are another cause of bladder probs 
Personally i think more wet than dry is better for them.

Its also wise to keep an eye on the bargains section, we post there with any good offers, stash up whilst its on a special

Mark what would you recommend instead of the go-cat? Bearing in mind i'm not working at the mo & money's tight.

It sounds like it is enough as long as they have access to the biscuits. I would recommend a better quality food that Go-cat. It is one of the poorest quality foods on the market and full of cereal & colourings.

I have no idea as its hard to know but my boys who are 1 and 2 have this feeding schedule:

First thing in the morning (5:30am) half a pouch each
An hour later (6:45am) another half a pouch each

When we get in from work (5:45pm) half a pouch each
Just before bed (9:30pm) another half a pouch.

The wet food is Flelix, Jess doesn't really like anything else.

Milo has biscuits (James Wellbeloved) out all day, usually 20g(ish)
Jess has urinary biscuits max of 10g a day usually sprinkled on food

Milo stopped having kitten food at around 10 months

Hi guys. Yet another question for you. Am i feeding my 2 indoor cats enough? At the mo they're getting half a felix pouch each morning & evening. There's gocat dried food down all day & plenty of water, sometimes a little cat milk as a treat. My cats are 10 months & 4 years. The 10 month old won't eat kitten food. Are there anyways i can improve this?
