I was told that George would be an ideal candidate for a blood donor as, with his heart condition, he can produce too much blood and may, at some point, have to be bled to ease his condition.  Unfortunately, due to him being quite timid and because of his bad heart, he cannot be stressed so could not really be taken in to help, but maybe when the time comes  if he does need to be bled it will be at a time when another cat is in need.

All my three are on the register ... and just waiting for that call when they can do their bit.
In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

One of my vets cats is a blood donor, I didnt really think about it before until my vet told me about it.  ;D
