I didn't want to post anything about this until I was sure what was happening!
As some of you know, we've been fostering Magsy for over a year now and have never had any enquiries about her or anyone to visit - i've got so used to telling people that I have four cats
Magnolia falls into the harder to home category because shes 12 years old and a black cat.
She doesn't get on with our lot and I was feeling sorry for her as since we moved Doc seemed to be trying to chase/play with her even more and she is terrified of him (he is br brr brrrr ing now as if to say 'shhh mum') I asked Teresa for help as I know that the Paws Inn website gets lots of visitors and she very kindly put Magsy up on there under the rehoming section about 3 weeks ago.
I got an email earlier this week from a lady callled Felicity who said she had spoken to T on the phone who recommended Magsy to her - she was looking for her first ever cat and wanted one who was maybe a bit harder to home and also a cat that doesn't mind being indoors as she likes to have birds in her garden. Mags has never wanted to go out during her time here so when I emailed her I told her that this would not be a problem and I also told her a bit more about Mags.
Felicity asked if she could visit Mags on Monday night to meet her and asked if she would mind if she took her home if they got on - of course I said that would be great if she thought they were going to get on well together and she liked Mags' personality and temprament. She then sent me an email to say that she would go to PAH before coming here and that she would be sure that she would home Mags as long as Magsy liked her
Anyway, we got a call earlier on today to ask if we could move the visit forward because Felicity and her partner were in the area - of course we said yes!
Long story short, they came to visit (and are really lovely people) asked lots of questions about Mags and said they really liked her personality
we put our three in another room so they could see Mags on her own when we wasn't so nervous.
Magsy has gone to her new home with her favourite blankie to hopefully be pampered and spoilt
we are going to get an update tomorrow from her new owners so we can see how she is settling in.
I just wanted to share my good news!!!
