VetUK are the cheapest for Hill's Prescription R/D dry food - even with the cost of having it delivered too which is great.........and I do it via the link from this website so that it helps a charity too.

I usually buy RC at shows (as my local stockist is outrageously expensive), and then Madam has won a fair bit into the bargain. :) The Outdoor 30 gets a firm paws up chez Casa Witty, as does the Siamese 38. Actually, most RC goes down a treat with my two.

Bizarrely enough, the only one they refused to eat was the Exigent 33/36 - got given a sample and it just got ignored...

VioVet sometimes have good %'s off for RC foods, I use to go between Vet UK and Viovet for the cheapest deals with RC.

I have to say we feed 9 differents kinds of Royal Canin foods and our lot love them all - favourites are the dental ones which look like dog biscuits they are quite large kibble and its the toothless lot who love them!

Also have to say in RC's defencse that we have had no issues what so ever with them and they are always helpful in any way when we contact them and Sunny is waiting on his free samples of Puppy foods, and Sky and Jazz are both getting samples to.

They were also wonderful when a friend of mine adopted a Persian with an undershot jaw and sent me a couple of 2.5kgs bags of Persian food for this lady and her precious Fleuikins!  We had just ordered about 150Kgs of dog and cat food from them, they also sent us a nice fleecy bed for the outside ferals to so I can't say a thing against them.

Although it doesnt state meat content you can tell its better quality than alot of other dry foods.  I got Magoo some outdoor mature to try and thats when he went snobby on me and wouldnt eat normal wet food, since its been banned he eats everything again  :-:

All the Hills and RC foods are going up in January, I think about 10%  I find vetuk generally best and cheapest for foods and feliway but for some other things eg Zylkene they can be beaten by quite a few £s.
I go via the charity link so I'm so pleased they sent a good cheque for Xmas dinner for all your cats Ela. Sometimes when you click a link, you aren't sure that it's really going where you want it to.

Same with Willow - she is borderline underweight but will chow down on it. Since I took her off Iams, I have struggled to get her to eat enough but RC33 is about the only dry food she will eat.

tbh Des, they eat it and that is now my main criteria - I have wasted much time and money trying to do the best thing for them and have resigned myself to filling them up now!!

I wont buy it till they state a meat content - and if you ring them, they aren't very helpful at telling you.

Science Plan oral food made Lexy fat, and we're still battling getting her to lose it.

Unfortunately due to her history with cysititis I can't change her food from the RC Urinary.

I still buy her dry food and the pouches from VetsUK, prices are still cheaper than any other I have found. I get the 6kg bag and that lasts for ages with Lexy. She loves it. Maybe someday she'll lose the weight.

Dawn Lexy's vet says the same. Lexy is over 5kg and therefore fat, she should be 4kg as she's a small cat (with a round tummy)  :evillaugh:

I will give it a go. Shame I only placed my order this morning  - I am wary of light food after Science Plan light is what made kylie fat.

Which one is is - I know they do a few different obesity foods. I will try Kylie on it again, although I am thinking of ordering more Orijen. I have been waiting for the fish one to become available but they keep putting the date back.

my lot love rc as well and Star has lost weight with the light food, gone from 5.9 to 5.25 and the vet said she isn't fat anymore - she said normally a female over 5kg would be fat but Star is long as well and so is fine

Did you order it via one of the Charity sites Mark?

Only last week I received a cheque for £56 from VetUK which will help the cats have a special Christmas dinner.

Yes, our branch has its own link now so I use that.

Does RC state a meat content on their bags yet Mark?

No - I am quite surprised - but Willow is rarely sick thesedays and I think it has a lot to do with it. I didn't realise it contains pork though

I just ordered a 4kg bag of Sensible 33 for £17.94 as well as some Renalzin for Clapton. This has to be the cheapest for RC? (except when its on offer at PAH) - I think this is probably one of the best foods around. The min spend if there is food in an order is £39 so I ordered a couple of Catac catnip cushions - the best!  :)
