Thought i would like to share with all other CP branches, after successfully rehoming 2 pedigree puss cat to someone who advertised on those horrid sites.. i have put a bit of blurb on the site saying "posh puss cats end up in rescue too" and have managed to divert a few people from offering hundred of quids to rescue and give them the money instead.. So far my exploits ahve found homes for 2 Siamese, one Bengal, two Persians (including one in our care along with a 200 quid donation!..
All it takes is to divert people and think about rescues, many dont realise that pedigrees end up in rescues and i have to put them right about that.. In the last few weeks the amount of christmas kittens ads i have seen i am depressed...
Anyhow the homecheck was great, the home was fab and all fingers crossed two puss cats found a home (thanks to Julie for the posting) and all the home was right in our area.. Well worth doing...
The neutering advert has also got alot of traffic and we are successfully putting people in touch with other branches or sorting out ourself. So well worth signing up and exploiting such sites for our own aims of getting more cats out of rescue into homes.
