Hes the most cantankerous old boy but also one of the most loving cats, hes now exploring all the house and we go for a little walk on his lead every day ;) i darent let him out on his own as hes a bit shaky on his legs but he enjoys a little walk for 10mns, hes very vocal when he wants feeding or a drink or his cat tray doing, but hes now part of my family and will stay here  for therest of his life :Luv:

just to update George( alias Ginge ) is no longer looking for a new home as he has settled in here lovely and is now begining to explore his new home and i feel at 18 it would be unfair to pass him on again so hes here now for whatever time he has left, hopefully quite a while as hes a lovable if not a bit cantankerous old soul :innocent:

Well Ginge is now safely tucked up in the spare room with the grill door up so he can see my lot and they can see him, hes curled up on the bed completely un phased, even my dogs didnt bother him,all the other cats except Kali have been to have a look at him and apart from the odd hiss  from him my lot just looked and then walked away, they are used to me bringing all manner of other animals home so after the initial curiosity they lose interest. The picture of Ginge dont do him justice , hes beautiful :Luv: and just a big cuddle monster ;)

Well I have just returned from meeting Bonnielass and her adorable gang  :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:  I think Ginge will be very happy there.  I will taking him over on Wednesday evening.

Of course this is only a foster home  ;) ... so if anyone can offer him his very own forever home please let me know.

I just like to say thanks to Sandra for offering him a placement and it was lovely to meet you.  Don't forget if Kali (the oriental tabby wants to come live with me she'd be more than welcome  :Luv2: :Luv2:  )

18 Year Old Ginger Boy Needs new home - Nottinghamshire (now with pics) HOMED
« Reply #1 on: November 07, 2008, 18:20:28 PM »
I am making this appeal on behalf of my friend.  She recently (about 3 months ago)  took on a gorgeous Ginger 18 year old as his former owner was emigrating.  Initially everything was fine and "Ginge" (yes that is his name) seemed to settle in fine with their existing cat.  However over the past few week Ginge has started to spray and has started being bullied by the resident kitty.

My friend has tried everything and is now at the end of her tether and has decided the only course of action is to try to find "Ginge" a new home on his own.

Although he is 18 he is still very active and agile and enjoys going outside and mooching round the garden.  He is a real cuddle monster and enjoys (well tolerates) being groomed.

He is fully vaccinated and has been given a clean bill of health by the vet.

I will hopefully be getting a picture of him tomorrow.

If anyone can help with either fostering or offering this lad a permanent home please let me know as things are getting desperate.

I would be able to offer transport to most places within the Midlands.
