I also wanted to keep it in the purrs "community" as I know we all so love our fur-babes, it's more "personal" that way if you know what I mean.

Cheers

I know she will Gill, I'm very impressed with her work. Tiggy's portrait is terrific, I am so looking forward to hanging it on the living room wall in my new home for mum to see when I bring her round it'll be a lovely suprise for her and I can tell her that I brought Suzie to my new home after all. The photo's my favourite I took it at the highest resolution with my digital SLR and Suzie sat bolt upright and posed for it, it really captures her expression.

Cheers

That's a beautiful photo Leigh, I'm sure Gillian will do her justice.  Her portrait of Tiggy is amazing and takes pride of place in my living room.

that's a lovely photo Leigh - poor Gillian is struggling with a montage of photos  of my Amber, she isn't at all photogenic and can't sit still for one second, most photos have her head missing where she is rushing to greet you as you walk towards her with the camera!

Thank you all for your great suggestions.

Gillian (Ambercat) has very kindly agreed to paint Suzie's portrait from my favourite photo below.

Many thanks,

Cheers

Another place is http://www.fabulousmasterpieces.co.uk/ .... if you look at cat portraits you might recognise a certain kitty  ;)

That is a stunning portrait of a certain kitty :Luv2:, you must be really pleased with it, was it mega expensive?

It was quite expensive but as they used the pic on their wedsite for "advertising" I got it for cost  ;)

This is the pic they used so you can see how good the likeness is:

In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

What sort of style are you after? I did a graphic version of my friends kitten for her birthday.

In terms of pro places though, I'm afraid I have no idea! I've seen some of Gillians though and they are very good.

*Just looked at the portrait place and that one is lovely!

I had a portrait done of Dingle RIP in 92. She passed away in 97. I've had so much comfort from Dingle's portrait over the years.

Just wanted you to know it's a great idea Leigh.

Thank you that's brilliant, I would like one of my favourite photos done and it can hang in pride of place in my new home and mum'll like it when she comes to visit.

Cheers
