Arden Grange is very good and the only reason I changed to Orijen was because I have got kittens and adults and would have had to use 2 different Arden Grange biscuits - when it was just the adults I used to buy the 15kg breeder sack and it was free delivery. If you go online and type in Arden Grange Free Delivery there are a few places that sell it. I know a couple of Bengal breeders who use it and get on very well with it

Once Teeko is 12months I am going to mix the Orijen with Arden Grange and see how we go.

I will just look around local shops. The one here in the High Street is useless and their main dry food is Iams - I never shop in there. I will check in the farm shop as they sells Burns.

It's a shame they don't have a postcode finder on their site.

Also I find small shops are much more willing to get something in for you than larger shops are as they have to buy in bulk but as long as you promise to buy the product smaller pet shops will get it in for you,well round here they will anyway

Its a very respected brand of food round here,up there with jwb definately according to the pet shop in town therefore I am surprised PAH havent baught bundle of it in as I am sure it would go

I just looked at their site and it's cheaper than Hill's etc and they use ethically produced chicken. Do they sell it in shops? as I don't want to pay for delivery.

I alternate Memphis between JWB and Arden Grange and he does excellent on AG. Molly has the dog version and it is brilliant food. I highly recommend it.

Dunno about arden grange cat Mark but Arden Grange dog is exellent and they dogs seem to love it too and also their coats are so much shinier on it,at the moment I cant afford it so my dogs are on chappie which they love also but a lot cheaper but Den feeds Memphis Arden Grange and she says its an exellent food

They are eating the Orijen but still not too happy about it. I want them to enjoy their food as well as it being healthy.

Im sure its Purely with EC colourants in the ingredients, these are not neccesary IMO, preservatives do a job but colour is really not needed, do cats care what bits of food are brown or red!

This was her response - she highlighted the ingredients first, but dont think that will copy over

26 % of the RAW ingredients is chicken ... good but not great since it is so much water

Poultry meat meal is like about 23% ( since 4th ingredient of rice is 17%) ... My guess is this has 14% chicken meal to = 40% chicken... I prefer a NAMED meat but it is okay

maize = corn and is over 17% thus not making me happy but it is okay.. it also has gluten which get s a from me as to why

rice is okay but not happy corn is in front of it

GUESS that poultry oil is fat ... good

Fish meal I want to know what fish but a good ingredient

meat and animal dervititives is a NO NO

The ingredients aren't that good, it isn't anywhere near on the same level as JWB (I e-mailed the ingredients without the name to someone who is an expert on cat nutrition and that was her recommendation - OK to mix with things, but not on its own), I just need some Senior JWB to mix with Zi's Senior Purely now - Mol has JWB and at the moment a bit of HiLife as a treat.

JWB Turkey & Rice. They don't really like the lamb.

Also Science Plan Adult Chicken but much more pricey and not sure it's that much better

Well ended up going to pets at home and getting Purely, it says it has 40% chicken, Its also a new product. So far they all like it

I think it was £5.40 odd for a 2kg box.

Harry prefers to eat dry so this is why I need a good dry food for him. All of the others prefer to eat wet.

Oh and harry prefers his meat to be raw and fresh

Well, bit of a contradiction in terms really - dry + good

anyway, some are better than others, but no dry in my opnion is suitable as the sole diet.

James Wellbeloved, Royal Canin, Pets At Home complete, purina pro plan are all good brands. I use Royal Canin as my main dry food (and they do a variety for every type of cat imaginable!!) and I also use Hills in the winter as well. James Wellbeloved and Purina Pro Plan are also very good dry foods and JWB has the advantage of being hypoallergenic which is brilliant if you've got a cat with allergies

I'm all for Pets At Homes premium dry food - it has almost identical ingredients to James Wellbeloved but is more suitable for my wallet!

You can go into a PAH and ask for a sample, that is what I did. Jameson loves all the flavours (salmon, tuna, chicken, lamb) - I think he prefers the Lamb flavor.

They often do deals at PAH too, all of my bags have so far been BOGOF, so very economical.

Since I started feeding Jameson this food I've noticed a difference in his fur - very sleek & shiny, and he looks more slender than before (when I fed him cheap supermarket bisquits)

My Ragdolls love Purina pro plan.

The delicate version has 40 % protein and is a good quality food.

Its £11.99 for a 3kg bag in pets corner at the moment.

I think most good quality dry cat foods are all around a similar price range. You get what you pay for.

Altohugh it's great, It has just gone up by 33% at Zooplus to match Orijen's UK official seller price. Now £40 a bag - although worked out at 100g per day, that is still 70 days for £40 = 10 weeks. I don't think £4 a week is unreasonable to feed a good a quality food but some do.

Purina pro plan was on 3 for 2 at PAH last week, £14.99 per 3kg bag so it may just be best to stock up whilst its on offer. Its 21% meat so probably more expensive than purina one but tastier, my strays will only eat this after having had a few sample packets

Sainsburys have 25% off purina one at the moment.

Best thing to do is scrounge round the companies for sample packs and see what they like, its sods law that what you buy in bigger bags they wont like

Well since this new food has been introduced my others will not touch whiskers dry lol I origanilly only bought this for Harry, but they think its good enough for the rouge so why not them lol.

I have also tried the pah premium and they didnt like it.

I just dont want to buy a big bag and they dont like it.

Ours are on James Wellbeloved and they love it,I am going to look into the Pets At Home brand(premium one I believe) as its exactly the same as JWB but cheaper. At the moment they have the lamb JWB and its not going down too well therefore I am having to mix it with some whiskas dry for them to eat the lamb one,I am a cruel meowmy I know in doing this but I just cant afford to waste half a bag of jwb
