So glad to hear about this dear puss. Do we take it that you are now her keeper (or servant)?

Just a quick update on Lucy

We've moved house and she's settled in just fine, bouncing all over the place, moulting like crazy, meowing loudly and making the place hers and god forbid if Im late home for any reason as I get told off and have to fuss her for a good 15mins or so before I can get on with any housework or anything

Thanks everyone

I took Lucy to the vets this morning. She has been given a 3 day course of worming powder, a 3 month supply of Frontline (she has evidence of adult fleas) and has had her 1st vaccination. The vet thinks she is a bit older than 4 but unsure on her exact age, she has a back tooth missing as well. The vet thinks she has been abandoned rather than lost as well as she is in a good condition (weighs 4.1kg) and is well used to been handled and didnt even make a noise or scratch when she had her vaccine. Ive checked some of those websites out and none match her description but I'll keep checking the local paper as she doesn't had a chip in her

She has been put on an i/d special diet for 6 days and is to get 50g of it split over 3-4 meals for the next 6 days and hopefully that will clear her runs up, if not, she has to have it for a bit longer. Good job its free Lol. I hope it works soon  at the smell - cue the Oust !

Trish, Lucy is beautiful.   Looking at her coat and size it doesn't look like she has been a stray for long.   Well done for taking her in and hope all goes well at the vets.   Please keep us updated.

She is the spitting image of my next door neighbour's cat, although he is male  :innocent:

The runny tum could be any of the many things mentioned so try and eliminate the easy ones first, like worms or anything medical.  If it is the food you are feeding her then you can try a change of brand, but you have to stick with anything new you try for at least a week because changing the diet can cause the runs as well.  You could try the boiled chicken thing if she will eat it (none of mine will - fussy things) and see if that helps.

Well done for taking Lucy in and keeping her warm and dry.

As others have said check all the missing registers to make sure she hasn't got some slaves desparately looking for her:

Also contact all the vets / rescues in yor area to see if there is a lost report filed with them:   Follow the link and click on the map to find rescues in your area http://www.catchat.org/adoption/index.html

Good luck and fingers crossed she doesn't have a home and can stay with you :)

Hi,

Well done you for taking Little Lucy in.

Runs could also be worms, is she doing anything odd like rubbing her bum on the floor ??..vet will check for this !

Boiled chicken is the best thing and certainly no wet food for now.

Keep us updated as to how she gets on xx

wow Lucy is a beautiful girl
As for runny tummy think they usually say bland diet of boiled chicken and rice
Or try just biscuits or just meat could be one is upsetting her tummy
you don't say what food you are feeding whiskas gives mine a runny bottom
anyway as the others have said please try and see if someones missing her
can't imagine not havin my furbabes around
Good luck at the vets too

I'm assuming you've also rang around local shelters etc to see if she matches the description of any missing cats?  I would certainly ring CP or whoever you have in your area, as well as taking her to the vets to see if she has a microchip as you have already suggested - she is not necessarily a stay just because she doesn't have a collar!  Well done on looking out for this little one though, hope you get to the bottom (excuse the pun!) of her runny tummy.

Keep us posted.

I moved into my flat just over a month ago and saw a grey tabby a couple of times but wasnt really sure if she was living in my outhouse or not. On xmas eve I decided enough was enough and I would start feeding her, boxing day saw her coming into the flat and living indoors. She is a stray with no collar but is so friendly and loving and is litter trained

Quick Question - She has the runs so Im assuming I remove all dry and meat food for x amount of hours then re-introduce slowly ? She isnt a greedy cat

I am getting her took to a vet next week to get her scanned to see if she is chipped and to have a general check over
