Well last night Oscar didn't come in even when it was raining, which is very unlike him so I took the temptations down the end of the garden and called him (usually he hears them and is in like a rocket!) and all I could hear was him crying. I got OH to grab the torch (it was about 10pm, very dark and chucking it down) and we found him just sitting down just outside the gate at the end of the garden wailing. We carried him in and I gave him a thorough check over and couldn't see or feel any lumps or anything unusual and he didn't complain when I was pulling him around so was a little confused. He went straight to sleep but was very grumpy wth the other cats when they tried to play with him.
I woke up this morning and couldn't find him to look at him before going into work (I still have no idea where he was hiding!) but when I got home he was crying out everytime he moved so called vet straight away and they managed to squeeze him in as I considered it to be an emergency. Vet gave him a thorough check over but is still a bit undecided as to what exactly the matter is. He says his legs are fine but seems to have hurt his back (Just above tail, between hip bones) as he was flinching when he extended his back legs but he says there's no sign of anything serious but he does have a high temp. He's had a painkiller and AB injection and we have AB tablets (that should be fun!) and he wants to see him again on Weds to see if he's bounced back to normal. As he says, Oscar can't tell him what he's done so it's a bit of a mystery. I am hoping the pain killer's made him a bit more comfortable though.
