Gem is perking up and being a typical Tortie but we are finishing the antibiotics just in case but she is eating and still doing everything normally in the litter tray.

Not having much background on her and Brodie its a bit difficult but Brodie is fine and has joined the ranks of the indoor outdoor crew and he is fine and keeps bringing us home everything a longhaired cat can fortunately he loves to be brushed so this evening as normal will be spent de burring and removing twigs from Oscar, Phoenix, Brodie and any of the shorthairs who want brushed thank god they have a their own rota and there are two of us!

None of the other cats are off colour - we have been checking them all out and all are eating and doing normal ablutions so hopefully we can get Gem back to normal and get her speyed and get all injections and Chip and she can join the ranks of the inside outside kids soon

Just to say she has been at the vet 3 times this week and as with all the others they visit if we think anything is a miss and yes we would know as we know who goes where!!!

We also know the temps we have to watch having has above normal temp and below normal temp in the last 2 weeks - Gem's high and Harvey's low!

Shame she still isn't right Liz, it is slightly concerning, although at least the jabs are doing the job, and the vet doesn't seem overly concerned.
Please spay your cat

Just want to point out that a cat with a temperature of very 105.6 is serious, a normal temperature for a cat is 101, sometimes stress will cause it to rise to 102.5 anything higher needs urgent veterinary intervention. At 106degrees cat will die.

Sorry Liz meant to send healing vibes to Gem.

That sounds like a good sign.  Now lets hope Gem has kept it to herself and not shared

Cats have much higher temperatures than us - can't remember what it is, but it's over 100. So 105 isn't as bad as it would be in a human.

Glad Gem is better.

Well starting September off the way August went with vets visits!

Today it was Gems turn she was a bnit quiet this morning - not trawling for food so took her to the vets this afternoon and she has a temp of 105.6 so 2 injections later and a trainee vet checking her as well as the vet she is back for a visit tomorrow -

This evening food is back on her list and she is dancing around like she was never ill!

The vet is quite amazed that we know all of our mob and that she doesn't have Harvey's bug - he had a low temp and spent a weekend at the vet on a drip!

Trainee vet stunned to hear we have so many cats and asked if we bring in our ferals yup says I and if she is still around 2 weeks on Saturday she can meet some of them - did advise her they aren't like Gem - she sat and purred her way through everything and then gave the vet kisses for good measure hope she remebers them if she meets some of the swiping ferals!!!!
