I have tried layer pellets and yes it is better but doesn't go as far chick crumb as one of mine has decided he no longer likes chick crumb but only the cheap gravel kind :(  so one tray has this instead but now sees 200% of the traffic of all three trays and its a pain lol. I have tried every kind except paper so far and he only likes the gravel now and won't even enter a tray with anyting else :(

I found Cat's best to track worse than anything I've ever tried before!

I just had another thought Helen, what about trying Layer's Pellets? You should be able to buy them wherever you get the chick crumbs from, its chicken feed again, for the bigger birds rather than the baby chicks! Its a bit like the wood pellet cat litter but smaller pellets - and it clumps (prob not as well as the crumb, but it does clump) and it doesnt track like the crumb, and still a good price. Worth a try.

The Tigerino doesn't seem to stick to their feet but no litter is immune to cats the "dig to Australia"  :evillaugh:

One thing I have found is it dries quickly. I was out for most of the day yesterday. I did the trays and there were a couple of clumps that started to disintegrate when I scooped them out which isn't good. I don't know if other clumping litters do this. I think this is only a problem when it's really hot and a tray is left all day.

The biggest improvement is smell   :)

Will have to rule out Lottie's suggestion as clumping is a must I'm afraid, had a look at both links from Gillian and Lottie and they both seem really expensive in comparison to normal litter and chick crumb, more than double the price.  Cat's best (MM's suggestion) is sold in litres so not sure how it compares price wise to normal litter.

Am tempted by the Tigerino nuggies that Mark and Sam keep chuntering on about, one of the reviews on Zooplus says that they don't walk it out on their feet.  Am due a Zooplus order after payday so might get a sack to try.  Can't work out from the pic on Zooplus what colour it is - would be good if it was beige  :evillaugh:

Everclean Less Track pretty much does what it says on the tin (or box!) LOL! (notice - LESS track, not NO track!) - its grey though! http://www.rlpetproducts.co.uk/products_03.php?m=1&s=2 - but actually even the Everclean normal stuff doesnt track much either, Less Track is just bigger granules (although still a fine grained litter)

It doesn't clump but Breeder Celect cat litter is fantastic! It's recycled paper pellets that absorb the wee and you just scoop the poos out. It doesn't track much at all (even with the Teams fluffy snow shoes) and it absorbs smells really well and the price is good too at £12.99 for a 10kg bag.

I've always used chick crumb as a litter and while I do think it's great I am getting fed up of finding bits of it everywhere!  I don't flush anymore so I don't see now that it has benefits over any other litter.  I have hooded trays and a huge litter mat outside the entrances to the trays but I'm still finding it everywhere, the only saving grace is that it's the same colour as my carpets so not as bad as it could be  :evillaugh:

Is there such thing as a clumping non-tracking litter?  Preferably beige in colour too so I don't feel like I have to hoover three times a day!
