I so don't want to leave him, i don't want him to think we're leaving him either! i know this sounds really dramatic but it really is worrying/upsetting me I hope he'll be okay.

If its any consolation, read this: http://www.chaptanservices.com/purrs/index.php?topic=782.0

I posted this when I was going on holiday end of last year....very reassuring comments from others and you are not alone out there not wanting to leave him. I was close to cancelling the holiday all because I did not want to leave Lexy.

Ooohh thank you everyone,  :thanks:

I'm worrying about this now

Why the worry?  If you want to go for a quick visit let us know, or if you want to just get your little boy there and then collected then that can happen too.

Jess's Mum, I'm moving to Essex (Wickford or Chelmsford!) so at the time I'll be happy to be chauffeur if you like.

We're in Wickford so the East side, we're prepared to travel to find the right cattery but we don't drive thats our only problem.

Thanks Kittybabe I will look at that website

London and Essex Kent Farms Kennels and Cattery are lovely. My sister has left her cat there twice now and we went for a visit to see it before she committed to it.

Have a look at this link: http://www.londonandessex.demon.co.uk/  what you see is what you get...Spencer was very well cared for while he was there, he didn't put on any weight despite being less active for 3 weeks! His coat was lovely and any special dietary requirements they will cater to if you provide the food.  They have a vet etc.

Worth the money for it and my sister certainly had peace of mind twice now.

We aren't going on holiday till November but I want to research a cattery now for our little man, we have a weekend away planned in March and I am hoping that family will help out.

I don't want to leave him and the thought of it already upsets me!

If anyone can recommend a cattery I'd be really grateful,

Thanks
