I'm so sorry to hear this Lesley, RIP Gigi.

As others have said, she had a lot of love in her week of life and now she can play at the bridge with all the other kittys!

I'm so sorry to hear this Lesley about little Gigi.  I think sometimes no matter how hard we try they are just not meant to be with us longer than a few days or weeks.

She has known love and affection and caring in the short time she was with you and before going to the bridge to meet with her friends waiting for her.   Play hard little one!

Oh Lesley,

I am so, so sorry to hear this...I really felt the little babe would pull through.  What could have happened to her...poor little soul?  She seemed to be doing so well.    :'(

R.I.P. Gigi sweetheart....you are in a place far better than anything we could ever imagine....it was obviously not your time to be here but Lesley taught you love and human kindness and I'm sure these gifts will serve you well for the future.

Grow into the beautiful cat you were destined to be and go run in those sweet meadows.

Thinking of you Lesley

Lots of love

Oh, Lesley and I am so sorry!  :'(

I know it  :censored: hurts like it was your own flesh and blood that has passed. I recall someone saying to me once that some kittens are just too beutiful for this world, and Gigi was certainly one of those.

Grow big and strong at the bridge, Gigi darling. There are lots of new friends to meet and play with.  :Luv: :Sad Bye:

Well, I spoke too soon, I should know better. :(  Gigi has stopped eating and seems to be going downhill.  She seems to be in pain with her tummy and was writhing around quite a bit last night.  Have started her on lectade to try and get some sustenance (sp) in her, but at the moment she is worrying me alot, so any positive vibes for my little girl would be appreciated.  She is not even a week old yet and was doing so well, I can't believe it. :'(

I'm pretty sure Dawn mentioned a rescue Surrey way who had a waiting list for kittens. What about transfering some to them, Lesley? I'm sure a few heroes here can help with transport.  :shy:

Thanks Julie.  We've had quite a good weekend of enquiries for kittens so I think we will be alright.  The latest ones are white, ginger, and tortie so I know they will find homes quite quickly, plus they need a few weeks to build them up, they are not the biggest of kittens.

The numbers do not phase me too much, it is OH who does the complaining but seeing it was him who wanted to take these latest ones in, he can't really do much complaining.  :sneaky:

Today Gigi has reached 110g and is eating sooooooo well, she is really strong for such a young little kitty.  She is now pooping regularly and it is surprising how easy she is to handrear at the moment, let's hope it continues.  :wish: Will try to get some better piccies of her today.

40 was supposed to be our limit but had a lady who had moved and left her cat and kittens at her old address pending me finding a place for them.  Mike insisted on picking them up yesterday rather than them staying there any longer so we are now up to 46, plus a friend kindly picked up 3 kittens from a lady who had rescued them from a field.  Apparently they are quite bad with flu and he is keeping them in isolation but that's another vet bill to pay and another 3 kittenss to find homes for.

Gigi is doing well.  Has gone from 60g to 90g and we had our first poop yesterday, so everything inside is working okay.

She is starting to get more fur on her little pink paws but the end of her tail still looks like it's been scalped, and she is still diddy, makes my week old kittens with their mum look huge.

Ahhhh.....that's my little girl...bless. :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

She's such a tiny little babe.   Just keep telling her that her namesake was born of lowly beginnings but grew up to be fabulously beautiful and marry the highly eligible 'bon vivant ' Gaston Lachaille (in the book/movie) so she's gotta make it if she's to live up to her name!!!  :Luv2:

Well I told you that they would just look like blobs but the first piccies of Gigi.

Gigi

Gigi had another good night, which is more than I can say for myself, I think I've had four hours of sleep in the last 48, :tired: but to see her makes it all worth while.
