siatica in cats?

Hi,

After some research on spondylosis, I'm going try and give her a little cod liver oil everyday.
It seems to be getting a little better, not so much miaowing & crying the last couple of days, but she's still walking with her back stooped.

Could it be spondylosis ? Buster used to be like this and he had monthly jabs for over 10 years. Buster ended up on Cartrophen injections because of the risks associated with steroids.

Hello thanks for the welcome!

No x-rays yet, our vet doesn't think it's anything serious. he told us that the muscles or nerves have spasmed.
He recommended accupucture if the problem continued.

Iv not known a cat with siatica but a few have arthritis. Have they taken any x rays?

hello, our cat Larry has had a pain in her lower back and tail for about 4 weeks, we took her to the vet after a couple of days and he gave her an inflammatory shot and it cleared everything up.
3 weeks later the same thing happened again, and again I took her to the vet, he gave her another shot and said she has inflamation on her lumbar near her tail and that it could be siatica.
The crying of our cat is really loud and distressing, it's fine whilst she's laying down but cats being cats she wants to walk around, has anyone experienced the same with their cats? how long will she keep having to recieve shots? is there any other treatment?
