I am needing something to stop litter tray smells outside of the animal, this seems a little crazy. Would never think to deoderise the cat, and never would!

Yeah that's kind of what I was getting at. Surely an animal's smell is part of the package. It's natural and is there for a reason. So logically any changes in that would upset the process i'e what MM said about crystals.

And yes interesingly enough, the person who told me about it is the cute-fluffy-kitty type.

Sounds like something for people that would be better off with a stuffed toy.

Maybe me?

I just carried Alice down for a jaunt in the garden and now have some suspicious brown marks on my clean t-shirt (I only had my "morning shower" an hour ago  :evillaugh: )

Theres already lots of these products on the market, they put Yukka extract into cat foods as its suposed to help with odour and for dogs theres allsorts to stop lawn scald.
I wonder if changing the ammonia in the urine would cause problems with stones? When george was ill i remember reading about a condition that altered ammonia levels and it created problems for the cat so i would be suspicous  :shify:  :scared: :scared:

I can't imagine there could be something that destroys bad bacteria but leaves good bacteria intact - look at anti-b's - they can cause all kinds of problems. I wouldn't risk it.

Why is is a "Future potion"?

Because it sounds a little too good to be true.

Not sure how good it can be for the animal. Surely these odours are a natural thing and this stuff will upset some kind of natural balance somewhere? Mind you if it works and doesn't cause any harm to the animal I don't see any reason not to try it.

I read the Testimonial from the man who said his girlfriend's flat stank of cat poo. Surely, it would be easier and more hygienic to bag & bin than make it odourless?
