No one has come forward to offer SImon a home, since his profile went onto the website. I guess with so many young raggies seeking new homes, his age went against him.

The minute he arrived with us, we fell in love with him (like we do with them all!!) but Simon really did find a way deep into our hearts with his fantastic character. Clare and he started to develop such a strong bond and as it is the summer holidays, it gave her an opportunity to spend many of her days with him, taking him to her room from the foster pen. On so many afternoons I found them snuggled up together on her bed, watching a DVD, working on her lap top, listening to music, or Simon would be helping Clare with her cross stich! One thing led to another and Simon is now integrated into our home and to be honest he won't be going anywhere now. He is happily settled, our cats and Toby have accepted him and as a family we are head over heels in love with him.

So Simon, is now an Alden-Farrow and no longer seeks a home. He will live out his years with us and to be honest, every minute will be a pleasure...he is a diamond!

Simon is now in the care of the UKRCC.

Simon is up to date with his vaccinations (booster due: June 2009) and he is microchipped. We have given him a precautionary Frontline treatment for fleas, as he has recently been off prowling in long grass and over the coming days we shall have him health checked, to make sure all is okay. He does have a known problem with his eye, caused by a blocked tear duct, which was diagnosed when he was a kitten. This causes him to have a runny eye and when a problem requires bathing with boiled, salted water.

We are seeking a very special home for Simon. It must be child free, as he has always lived with his elderly owner and has not experienced children at all. We will not place him to a home where there are children or where there is a chance of any in the future. He is used to living with another Ragdoll, but has never lived with dogs. Simon needs a home where he is predominantly an indoor cat, (so will need the provision of at least one litter tray), but can have access to a secure garden, or even better an enclosed garden or cat run. His new home must be in a quiet area, well away from busy roads. Simon has come form a very loving, caring home and has been used to being centre of attention, so we are looking for someone who is home for part of the day at least and who can give him the love and care he has been used to. He is a very affectionate and loves to be groomed, so he will not be difficult to care for. He just needs time and the right home environment, where he can have safe access to a garden. He must always be kept in during the hours of darkness and when no one is at home.

So if you feel you can give Simon the home he is looking for and a life long commitment, so he can live out his years with you please complete our online adoption application form.

Thank you

Simon is a 9 year old red bi coloured Ragdoll. He is neutered.

He is seeking a new home due to his owners poor health and he will be coming into foster care over the next few days, as a matter of urgency.

As far as we are aware he is healthy Ragdoll (vaccination status currently unknown), who will need a loving, caring home where all his needs can be met. Simon does spend much of his time as an indoor cat, but he likes to go out and makes it clear vocally, when he is in need of a visit to the garden! He will need access, either to a large cat enclosure, that can be accessed by him as he choses, or supervised access to a secure garden, in a quiet area, well away from busy roads. He can and does climb fences and recently has started to visit the neighbouring gardens.

We are told by his owner that Simon is a friendly Ragdoll, if a little cheeky!

Simon is not used to living with children at all and has been used to having company during the day.

Once Simon is in the care of the UKRCC he will be assessed and health checked, so that any worming, vaccinations etc. can be attended to and then we shall be ready to find him a new home.

Although we are not in a position to rehome him just yet, we would like anyone interested in offering him a loving home and a life long commitment, to contact us in advance, so his period in foster care is kept as short as possible.

If you feel you would like to offer Simon a home, once he has been assessed and health checked, then please complete our online adoption application form  at www.ukrcc.co.uk and indicate your interest in him.

Thank you.
