I've replied on the other thread now rather than have two open.  :)

i've not had any reponses or replies to my text messages and mobile phone was switched off. (these are the same ones as the other thread)
There is also someone who has offered via RHU to take them if needed in Spalding, Lincs. So hopefully these guys can get sorted one way or the other.

Sorry didn't realise 2 threads still going on. I don't tend to visit rehoming section as can't normally help  :( but came across other thread on recent threads.

As I said on other thread, I am happy to help with transport but within Birmingham area as I just cannot cope with motorways. Having said that, if we are talking Cheltenham, may be able to rope OH in on a trip to help rehome these two.

I really do think that the executor of this lady's estate should sanction boarding costs at a cattery.  It's not as if the estate is unable to pay as there are beneficiaries mentioned on the other thread. In such circumstances it is simply unacceptable to expect rescues to spend their scarce resources.

Would be interested at some point Gail in why you think RSPCA Barnes Hill would just PTS. They are currently amongst the list of rescues we support,i.e. Barnes Hill branch rather than RSPCA head office.  When I found Freddie, there were a number of so called "oldies" (aged 12+) there to be rehomed.  Granted I would be a great deal happier suggesting Cramar (as I have on other thread) which is the main rescue we support rather than RSPCA but healthy cats aged well under 10 unlikely to be PTS by any cat rescue surely.

I'm assuming these are the same two lads. Could you maybe contact the poster via PM, Dawn and let her know about the offers of help? (Sorry, I know you're probably up to your eyes in it atm!)

Had another email off someone who will take them as well, she is in Cheltenham, an appeal can be put out for any transporting, Helen from Swap team has offered to do this if needed.

Are both these cats sorted?  If not, Fiona from South West Animal Protection in Essex will take these cats but has no transport.

Have you tried Cramar Cat Sanctuary?. Dont go to the RSPCS Barns hill they WILL PTS

I live in northfield but have 3 cats already - 2 are male bengals and very dominant. If it was just Thai then I would take them, but Zubin wont accept any other cat - :( :( :( :(

I so hope these babes find something - bless them.

I spoke to this lady last week and emailed her via an addy she gave me. It can't have been correct as she did not reply to me.
I did ask her whether the executor od the will would sanction payment for the cats to be sorted into a cattery for a while until a local rescue could help. I'd forgotten all about them......

I also gave her a link to purrs so she could put out the appeal herself as I didn't want to start the thread.

I last spoke with the lady involved on Monday (they are on Birmingham tree site) and the Funeral was on Tuesday, she said she couldnt be sure but as soon as the funeral was over the clearing of the house began, the lady has no family in the area and the nearest was a full time carer for her husband and couldnt help. Its pretty near the wire though.  :scared:

You might try Pauline who runs Wellcat in Quinton, not too far away.    http://www.wellcat.org.uk/

This has been via the RHU forum and so far there has been No Joy with helping these two... can anyone offer anything at all?  :'(

They are due to be PTS very soon if a HOME or RESCUE PLACE cannot be found.
They're 9 years+ and are vaccinated and NEUTERED, they CAN be separated.
Their elderly owner has died and there is no immediate family to take care of them the carer is taking 2 busses every day to go and tend to them but is severely allergic and cannot take them, the funeral has now taken place and now the house will be sold/cleared, if no homes are found they will be euthanised.
Local rescues are full or have told the carer they will be PTS if handed over (unsure of which one(s) said that). They're described as very sweet but shy.
They may have posssibly lived with dogs in the past, but that is unknown (they have found a old dog basket in the owners house)
1 cat is BLACK and the other is GINGER. They are both MALES, they are indoor/outdoor cats

They are located in Northfield in Birmingham.
