It's an unfortunate and frustrating aspect of giving a home to cats.  :(

Despite the fact that they can't be blamed for what is natural behaviour for cats, it's us that are left with the dilemma of what to do with an injured creature.

I found this website to be helpful with advice on what to do in these situations:

No floorboards fortunately - but problem now "solved" - mousey found its way back into the jaws of Geoffrey and is now RIP  :'( It's the one thing I hate about cat ownership!

Probably best that way round than a lounge in your mousey, that'd be the lind of mousey that I'd not like to meet on a dark night !!  ;D :evillaugh:

Cheers

If you have floorboards, the mouse might make good its escape and you need never see it again, particularly if you are terraced or semi-detached.  If you have solid floors, I fear it is going to turn up sooner or later so you will need a Plan :scared:
