thanks everyone of you for your kind words it really does help me.
i am very tired all the time at the moment, it gets so bad i have to go to bed, i have Graves Disease [thyroid] and have been having treatment for it, had 4 radioactives last year, it could be going underactive, was over, i am due at the hospital next month but i might go and see my Dr, tell him what has happened and ask if i should have a blood test now instead of waiting for the hospital next month.

My uncle was born with just one kidney and he is in his 80s now - still going strong.

yes Kirst they can, my mum only has one kidney, she had one taken away years ago cos it was deformed, she is 79 this year.

Awww Chris you really have been through the wars!

Thr prognosis for my Dad is pretty good atm , luckily people can live perfectly well with one kidney.

i used to work in the Hospice were my brother died and one of the volenteers who was there at the same time still keeps in contact with me, she phoned me earlier and when i told her my brother died she just said 'oh'! not....oh, i am sorry! and before she rang off she said: oh don't worry, so i said i'm not worried, but this is going to take a long time to get over!!
that upset me a bit, how can people be so insensitive? she wanted to know if the same people were still there! i said: i don't know, and: i did'nt go there to see them i went to see my brother!
next time she phones i think i will just let it ring!![ i have caller display ]
you people on here are more understanding.....thank you!
i could'nt believe her!! i am hurting here!! stupid woman!!!! she has no family of her own.

i have lost a lot of close people to cancer, first my Dad when i was 14, he had lung cancer and a brain tumor, then my Nan when i was 18, she had a brain tumor, then my best friend when i was 24,she was also 24, she had bowel cancer, then this year my Tigger and now my brother!

Kirst, hope your dad goes on ok.

Hi everyone,
some of you may remember i had to have my Tigger pts at the end of January?
sorry for not being on for a while, but this year is turning out to be awfull, first we lost Tigger to cancer, 2wks ago i also lost my brother to cancer too, i still can't believe this has all happened in the first 6 mths of this year, i have never cried so much in all my life :(
little did we know that when Tigger had cancer my brother also had it!

Meg is ok, when Tigger was pts she stayed in her bed for 2 days, she is doing ok now tho',
they seem to grieve less than us, but we just learn to live with it don't we!
