Actually, that's the same sort of collar Noni came to me with. It had been chewed excessively - presumably by Noni in an attempt to get it off. We changed it straight away to a safety release collar and she never seemed bothered by a collar again.

It's more like a cable tie than  a collar - poor cat  :(

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

I collected and transported the Tortie Girl and her 3 kittens in Doncaster yesterday, after chasing them around the garden finally boxed them and transported to their rescue placement.
Got back to the Rescue and found the Tortie, who was not a small cat, to be wearing a collar. You couldnt see it only feel it and it was so tight you couldnt get fingers underneath it let alone anything to cut it off. Brute force prevailed to snap it and here it is..

Marmite my Sphynx modelling it, it doesnt even close without severe restrictions and her neck is extremely slender - her collar is very loose and i struggled to get one small enough!
Thank Goodness we got her when we did if she ever snagged it it would choke her to death as it wasnt easy to snap at all.

Poor Girl. And highlights the importance of regularly checking or not using a collar at all on a cat!
