Bully boy doesnt get in at all, he sits behind the netting pushing it with his head.  He walks round the perimeter.

I am not going to attempt the denutting process.  But what I am going to do is have a serious word with Jackie the alcohol lady who owns him and if necessary will offer to pay the costs.

The female is probably hissing at Charlie cos of all the funny smell's coming over! 

Still no de-nutting mission on the agenda? It would help greatly to calm the situation all round! He should feel safe in his own garden and Im sure "Mr Bullyboots" would be a different cat!

poor charlie, its very stressful when he cant chill in his own garden and is always on edge..

i too have a stressie cat, we went to the emergency vet as he had similar prob, was weeing blood from straining to go to the loo and he had cystitis - poor fella he was getting cramps and everything and on  top of that he stresses big time going to the vets. he has to go a fair bit as diabetic. we got there and the vet said she had never come across such a fast heartbeat it was off the richter scale. outwardly he was quiet and still but inside he is totally stressed. he has always been a nervous cat and if he is nervous he has his hiding places where he goes until he is happy enough to come out again!!!

Sometimes it would be good to know how much they understand when we tell them not to worry, its all going to be ok!

I have had the same problem with my Zorro over the months and I honestly think they do pick up on our stress levels as all of our lot are a little 'off' due to a rather stressed out meowmy and daddy!!    Touch wood nothing so far!!

Pleased to hear that charlies probs have settled down quickly MM...  always a good sign.  Give the wee rascal a big from me.

Sometimes I feel so sorry for Charlie.  We were just in the garden playing with his Da Mouse when guess who turns up, yep you got it neighbourhood bully boy.  Squirted him on two occasions before he got the message.  Then to add insult to injury Sophie from next door peeped under the gate and started hissing and growling at him.  She got a squirt too.  I will have to get a piece of wood to block the vision under the gate but poor Charlie really doesn't get a minute's peace in his own garden.  Hope this hasn't sent his stress levels up again

At least he's weeing and eating OK which is the main thing.

Thanks eveyone.  He seems okayish this morning.  Has played for hours with da Mouse and his boxes, eaten (added more water to his food) and has done a couple of normal wees, ie no sitting there waiting for something to happen.  Hasn't been out in the garden yet - am saving this for this afternoon when I get back from shopping

I am sure he will be fine and just needs time to settle now, hopefully no more vet trips for a while 

I had to take Misa for same reason a couple of months ago and he throughly wet every blanket on the way there

Im sure he will be fine, with being a stray to having a hooman slave must be very strange for him. I would say this has caused the stress.

Birds!!!! I hate them too, I have a nest in the roof (lucky me) and my cats keep catching the babies 

As for the local bully, well he lives here lol

He couldn't pee, was sitting on the tray for ages and nothing so I was worried in case he was blocked.  Rang emergency vet who said best bring him down.  On the way he did a huge wee in the basket which went all over my neighbour's coat and the seat of the car (not mine as mine is currently in for repair - another story) and then did a poo.  He was quite distressed obviously at messing and then started panting.

Anyway vet said his bladder was empty so obviously not blocked.  Gave him a long acting antibiotic shot and anti inflammatory.  Checked everything else was ok and weighed him.

We both (the vet and I) think it is probably stress related.  Charlie has been through so much in the last few months,.  Firstly being a stray, then moving in here, being blood tested, neutered, then being confined to the house, then to the cattery then to a confined garden.  Added to that is the neighbourhood bully cat peering down at him and the Blackbird parents frequently landing on the netting.  My stress levels are up as I am worried for the blackbirds and their babies and the neighbourhood bully is really annoying me.  Guess Charlie is picking up on that too.

Anyway he is home now and wont eat but had a couple of Tempations and is now keen to play with Da Mouse.

Fingers crossed there is no more problems with his wee.  Thanks for listening
