I was reading in YourCat magazine, and gulping can be related to hyper-t, and as hyper-t and CRF go hand in hand, it might be worth considering.
Please spay your cat

You gotta love 'em  :evillaugh:

Max sneezed in my face this morning, then gulped ........ have to say I was worried I was gonna get more than a bit of sneeze dribble on me

He's still gulping a bit, but equally is still doing the hairball thing, its almost like he brings something up, then chews it and swallows it back down (sorry, I know its gross lol)!.

We're at the vets sometime next week anyway so will ask them then!

Dinah has produced four hairballs of varying size in the last five days, as well as one bonus vomit. She's been gulping a bit as well. Every time she smacks her lips I'm grabbing the kitchen roll just in case...

As she's also got crf I was getting slightly worried, but she's eating really well at the moment and seems really well in herself.

Having just brushed her have come to the conclusion that she's moulting big time which explains the frequency of the hairballs.

She hopped on to me in bed yesterday, trampled my lady bumps, sneezed in my face twice then smacked her lips about 10 times before hopping off and vomiting down the side of the bed  :tired:  Cats, they're great!

Well done Mark thanks  ;D

Max is salivating quite a bit at the mo, he got excited when I came home yesterday and had a lovely big string of drool around his head  :evillaugh:  Nice !  He is also kind of licking his mouth a lot so may be a furball on the way

I'll keep an eye on it, and will mention it to the vet when I do his next bloods to see if they think its connected, but from what you say about Clapton, it sounds as though it might be, as we're still quite early days with the diet change and trying to bring his levels down.

If he keeps doing it I'll bring the vet visit forward and do the bloods/wee testing a bit earlier.

I think it was Desley's Rosie Clare.

Clapton used to gulp and his tummy gurgled before he stabilised. When Willow has a furball, she salivates and smacks her chops.

I recall seeing a thread where someone said their cat was kind of 'gulping'?

Max was doing something like this last night......

The last day or so he's been doing a lot of hairball retching (got him some paste yesterday to help him get rid of it), so I'm hoping its just something to do with that.

He's absolutey fine in himself, eating, drinking and playing as normal.

Just want to make sure its not something which could be related to his kidney issues?

Any thoughts?
