PURRS IN OUR HEARTS CAT SHOW 2008 RULES SEND YOUR PICTURES IN FROM 17 MAY USING THE OFFICIAL ENTRY FORM1. The Purrs Cat Show 2008 will open for voting on
Sunday 1 June 2008 and operate a bit different from last year. There will be much fewer classes for a start and less rules
The Top Cat will be announced on
Saturday 21 June 20082. This year as many pictures of each cat can be entered in any class that fits the cat.
However the cat must have belonged to you or be cared for by you at somepoint in its life.3. Entry will be £1 per picture per class.
4. Money will this year go to the Purrs Rescue Fund and after the Cat Show is finished we will be drawing names of the rescues who will share the first batch of money from the Purrs Rescue Fund.
5. Entry should be on the Cat Show 2008 entry form and money should be sent to the Purrs paypal account using the email address of- purrs@purrsinourhearts.co.uk and marked Cat Show 2008. Please contact a member of staff if unsure how to use paypal. Payment by credit /debit card and paypal account can be used. You do not need a paypal account.
How to use Paypal Go to
www.paypal.com Click on 'Send Money' tab (top left hand corner)
In the 'To' box put purrs@purrsinourhearts.co.uk
In the 'amount' box put the total you need to pay
In the 'currency' box change to GBP - British pounds (think it's automatically set to $)
In the 'For' section click on Service/other
When you've done that click 'send money'
In the next screen in 'subject' type 'Purrs cat show 2008 - (and your) *purrs username*'
and in 'message' type
'Payment from *purrs username* for X cat show 2008 photos
Click on 'send money'
6. Pictures with captions where appropriate, should be sent to kat@tornadothematics.co.uk and pictures should be no larger than
640 x 480, together with your completed entry form. Please do not send midgit pictures cos they have to be big enough for people to be able to see and vote on. If you are unable to resize your pictures please contact me by PM and we will discuss the best way forward.
7. Money, entry forms and pictures must arrive by
27 May 2008 20:00 at the latest, to allow time to put them on Purrs ready for voting.
8. The classes for the Purrs Cat Show 2008 will be as follows:
Class 1 Long/Semi longhaired cats of any colour
Class 2 Cats with stripes/spots
Class 3 Sleeping/snoozing cats
Class 4 Shorthaired cats of any colour
Class 5 Lolcats with a caption
Class 6 Cute cats
Class 7 Chatty/Singing/Smiley cats
Class 8 Cats up to tricks/No good
Class 9 Kittens under 6 months
Class 10 Older Gentler Felines 14 years and above
Class 11 Me and my friend
Class 12 I am so innocent!/I didnt do it!
Class 13 Boy cats
Class 14 Girl cats
9. There will be three rounds of voting, first round, semi-final and finals. You will be allowed to have three votes in each class and as long as there are sufficient cats the top three will go into the semifinal round in the first stage of voting.
10. From the semi final round the top 12 cats will go forward into the final round of voting, to establish the Purrs Top Cat of 2008.
12. Please remember that this Cat Show is for fun only and to raise funds for our rescues
