Cats chewing off claw husks

Max does that as well, we always tell him off for 'eating his feet' 

He always tends to do when he's curled up next to you and comfy, then he starts and it sets my teeth on edge too

Jaffa does it too.  Not the most pleasant activity to listen to/watch!!

Ahh, Parsley used to do that. I think she got impatient with how long some of them took to come off - makes a horrible noise if I remember rightly.

None of the others do it but part of Alice's afternoon routine is After a long, fuss, sitting on me, she gives herself a clean and then starts chewing the husks off her claws  - it really sets my teeth on edge as she pulls really hard  - We used to have another cat that did this but I had forgotten all about it.
