Lucky he didn't end up too far away.  There was a story in our local paper a few months back about a cat who got all the way from South Wales to Scotland by stowing away in someone's car ... luckily he was identified by his microchip.  The cat in question turned out to be a relative of my Bertie so he is now under strict instructions not to get into any strangers' cars  :evillaugh:

One of my friends cats went missing two weeks ago, it is a Bengal and luckily he was brought home by someone who found them in his car, he obviously fancied a change of scenery

About 8 years ago, I went with my then OH + a friend to Gran Canaria (  )

We stayed at a complex where there were loads of cats hanging round. They even sold cat food in the shop. We had a few hanging around our "Apartment" and one in particular was a lovely pregnant black girl with a stump tail - she always cam to see us and was happy to sit on my lap as long as she got some grub. One day we couldn't find her and ended up finding her in the wardrobe in our room. For some reason, she decided to give birth in the living room - next to my friend's head  :evillaugh: - she then took the kittens back to the wardrobe. Anyway, we naively told the receptionist what had happened and that we didn't mind. Later that day when we got back, they were gone. I ran to reception only to be told that "The problem had been dealt with" - one of the other guests told me that they kill cats - I think it was the first time I had heard about culls. I went screaming to the receptionist saying if they had been killed, I would go to all the papers in the UK and nobdy would stay with them again (I was a bit OTT) - she said she didn't know where they were but they weren't dead. A couple of days later, which was our last day, I saw her under the bushes outside the apartment 2 doors away from ours. I went over and gave her and the kittens a fuss (I didn't know) - she people said they were surprised as she had spat and scratched them when they tried  :evillaugh: - she knew me and that I wouldn't hurt her  :Luv2:

That's the first place we'd look for Bertie ... I swear he's trying to get to Narnia - we should have called him Aslan

I remember we once found a large ginger cat sleeping in our bathtub when I was a child - turned out he'd been missing ages so goodness knows where he'd been until the point where he came in through our cat flap and got into the bath!

I lost Polo for a couple of hours on Wednesday he turned up wedged behind the neighbours fish tank stand, I thought he had gone into his house but we couldn't find him and he must have been behind the stand the whole time :)

Glad kitty is safe.
In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Belinda who owns the herbalist shop over the road always puts posters in the window for people (She has our CP ones up  ;D ) She had a poster up for a cat that went missing on Monday. Some people had seen the poster - then they heard a cat crying upstairs. The neighbours cat had got into their house, gone upstairs and managed to get shut in a wardrobe. :scared:

Luckily they had seen the poster so knew who it belonged to  :)

Anyway, kitty is safe at home now  :Luv2:
