Every evening Minnie goes out to play for an hour, and always taps the front door when she wants to come back in.  Last night, she went out as usual and after about 20 minutes, I could hear her meowing at the door, which she never does.  I went out and she walked halfway down the path and sat staring at me, but wouldn't come in, and it was freezing so I closed the door.  Five minutes later the same thing happened and my OH said that Minnie looked like she wanted me to follow her!  So I went outside and Minnie trotted down the path, round the corner and up the steps that lead to the road, looking over her shoulder at me the whole time.

When we got to the top of the steps, Minnie sat down on the pavement and looked at me and then over the road ... and when I followed her gaze, there was an enormous and beautiful black and white kitty in the car park of the pub opposite ... licking his bum on the bonnet of the landlord's £80,000 car  :evillaugh:  By now Minnie was stamping her little feet and looking really stroppy - I swear the message was "Mum, he's new and on my patch and I don't like him - get rid of him!"

I crossed the road to say hello to him, but he was nervous and ran away ... at which point Minnie was totally content and wanted to go back in the house
