Rosie is in the bathroom, as she doesn't use a tray, Rolo was fine when she was brought in though, unusual for him, but he is better with female cats. He was lovely with their son though, so maybe I can home him with older children - they just need to be old enough to realise his overboisterousness with playing.

I think Rolo's got a bit of the "bruiser cat" in him, but definitely like him. :) Hope he settles down soon.

I know!! I am still wary of him in the bathroom, so have been distracting him with toys (I should have just shut the door again, as it will be in use tonight.).He is incredibly playful early on for a 10yo. I could do with using the cage for the cat coming tonight, but I think that will just annoy Rolo.

Do you know, my brain really doesn't work well at times - I realised last night why he sprayed in teh bathroom, and why he did it in the cat room last week - it was cos I had had unneutered toms in!! He has been fine in the cat room today, he just used the tray - i think that is a dominance thing, he will use any tray he can (apart from Zi's, cos he doens't like the door!!)

True - no cat is unadoptable, so I will keep my fingers crossed - he has only been here since October, so for a 10yo, it isn't that long. The last oldie took us 6 months to rehome, and he wasn't up for rehoming for the first couple of months. I just hope he will settle if he does get rehomed, that is a big concern.

I know, the little butter!! It's a good job I love him, isn't it?? I had to throw the sponge ball into the front room to get him to leave me in peace while i cooked my breakfast this morning!! He is sitting on the cat tree more though, which is good.

Since I posted, he has sprayed twice, and overshot trying to use someone elses tray!! I have sussed it out though, it is trying to cover their scent with his, so I have stopped his access to the bathroom, used lots of Simple Solution (new foster coming on Wed) and then put him outside to see if that helped him get anything left out by scenting outside (someone has scented my car!!) - I dont mind the cat room as much, as there is very little carpet in there, and painted floor is easy to clean. The only advantage is he tends to do it in front of me, I have found very little when I haven't been there, so I can stop him and clean it asap. We have had fun with tea though, I bought them some raw turkey to try, and he was keen to try it, but struggling, so I chopped his up really small, then he got the hang of it and I left him chewing his way through a big piece cos he wasn't willing to wait for me to chop it!!

Maybe he has got it all out of his system and is starting to accept living in a multi cat household.  I so hope so because I really want him to stay with you Des.

So do I

That's really positive.  Maybe he has got it all out of his system and is starting to accept living in a multi cat household.  I so hope so because I really want him to stay with you Des.  Charlie ripped up the rubbish bag when I was cleaning upstairs yesterday, trying to help of course

Really well, being a little butter when I am trying to sort washing out, he thinks he can play with it!! He hasn't sprayed for about a week, I hope he will stop that and stop attacking the neighbours cats, as I would love to keep him. He is doing well with his food, he doesn't like one flavour of Whiskas, but loves his JWB, he is eating biscuits well to say he only has two teeth.

You can show Chris the pics Nic. I love Rolo to bits, and he does seem to love me to bits too, so I hope that when someone ever does come forward, he can transfer that bond. I didn't love him quite so much for spraying in the cat room this morning though!! Apart from the odd swipes at Moses (who gives back), we haven't had any fighting for a while, which is good. MM, you can see his attitude in that last pic!!

He just wants you all to himself Desley - it was so obvious when I saw him that he just loves you to bits (and I think its mutual?).  Such a shame that you can't keep him - I hope things work out for him.

Aww! he's so lovely.
Chris was besotted with Rolo when we saw him - he sprawled out on chris' chest as well!  Pity he doesn't get on with other cats otherwise we would have probably had him as well.

Chris does keep asking about him - Probably as Garfy is such a mummy's boy he feels a little left out sometimes. (even though Gypsy enjoys both of us)

I cannot deny that a cat lover and his cat have a master/slave relationship. The cat is the master.

He has been acting weird yesterday and today - Frankie hates being cooped up, and I keep finding Rolo sprawled on the landing playing footsie wiht the bathroom door, so I actually let them briefly see each other, and he just made the weird miaow I  hear outside when he is having a disagreement with the neighbours cat, and then they spit at each other, but dont go out of their way to attack. Frankie has someone looking at him tomorrow so dont want them to have too much contact, as Frankie is going to an indoor only home which wouldnt suit Rolo. Sprayed over the weekend, but as he weed in the tray straight after, the vet said it was probably behavioural. Here are some pics

no new scabs, I got some good action pics earlier, so will get round to doing something with them soon!! He has finished all his a/b's now - surprisingly, he finds the dental biscuits easier to eat than any other biscuits. Not that he needs them, but hey ho!!

Glad - no need to be sad, he is happy(ish) at the moment, he has had some fresh air, playtime and cuddles so far today, but I do have to clean his ears later. He is one of the lucky ones who ended up in a rescue, I dont think he would have survived the winter with how thin he was.
