Thank you for wonderful story and must admit i was really scared for little black cat in the early parts

It wasnt till we got to recent parts I realized that is it was your cat and it would end up happily ever after  ;D

I really enjoyed writing it and wondered when anyone would twig that LBC was/is my own Bubz! 90% of the early parts were fantasy, all I knew for certain was that Bubz had been found in a garage/shed and that though she'd been chipped she wasnt spayed till I got her done.

I'll post the url to the pdf file when I've got it uploaded so you can get a copy of the entirity.

Helen

PS what do you think of her tail - photo taken while she was sitting in the tunnel of her cat door!

PPS There are photos online and I'll give you the link when I give you the pdf link.

Little Black Cat - A Tail of Love (part 6)
« Reply #1 on: March 13, 2008, 17:07:25 PM »
Little Black Cat’s mummy 'cat' woke up the next morning to feel her snuggled into her bed behind her, which was a surprise, as Little Black Cat hadn't ever come into her bed before. Poor Little Black Cat was still a bit dopey all day and spent the time lying on the very big table with all the wires, close to mummy 'cat'.

The next day she woke up feeling better and the lady with the long, long fur took the cone off at last. The stitches were still a bit uncomfortable but she was getting used to it and she persuaded mummy 'cat' to play with a pink feather-bird.

Swoosh.

Swoosh.

Pounce and just miss it.

Swoosh and trail along the floor.

Stalk the feather.

Pounce.

Caught it!

Swoosh in the air.

Jump up.

Miss.

The game went on like this for a while and then mummy 'cat' decided it was enough for the time being, and put it away. She then decided to do some pushing-the-keys – something Little Black Cat found so boring to watch so she sat on the cushion and enjoyed the warmth from those hot things on the walls.

Suddenly there was a funny noise from the flat thing next to the cushion. It was a buzzy-noise and there was light that peeped out when the nose was happening and went away when the noise stopped. Little Black Cat wanted to find the light and got up to watch and try to pounce on it.

Buzzzzz.

Buzzzzz.

Little Black Cat’s mummy 'cat' saw her looking puzzled as the noise and light disappeared. She started giggling at Little Black Cat’s reaction, and made the noise happen again and again for Little Black Cat’s amusement.

“Oh you are so daftly silly! Yes you are! Yes, it’s just the scanner not a ‘light-mouse’, little one,” Little Black Cat’s mummy 'cat' said through her giggles. “I love you to pieces, you know,”

The ’light-mouse’ was activated at odd intervals from then on and Little Black Cat always sprinted to sit next to it, trying to see the ‘light-mouse’ as it hid under its shelter.

Then a few days later mummy 'cat' asked her new lady to put Little Black Cat into her Box for a follow-up visit to the doctor but this time Little Black Cat ran round and round the house, escaping capture every time. She DID NOT want to go back there, thank you very much! Last time she went she got hurrt.

She tried to tell mummy 'cat' that but into the Box she went anyway. They sat waiting for ages and in the end it was all over in about a minute.

Mummy 'cat' had told Little Black Cat that she was going to get a door all to herself so she could run in and out if she wanted to.

Little Black Cat was very keen – until the noisy man came and made a hole in the wall. She began having doubts at that point but when it was over there was her door and she ran in and out while the door was held open.

This was fun! She could go and visit Mask and his mummy without having to ask. Then mummy 'cat' asked her lady to put something on her collar. It was round and heavy and when she walked past the top of the hot things on the wall it pulled her down to it. Her mummy 'cat' kept some toys in a metal box on the big table and this ball on her collar pulled her to it, so the box was switched with a plastic one.

Little Black Cat’s problems started when the flap was lowered and she was ‘helped’ through the tunnel outside. Getting out was bad enough but getting in was impossible. Her mummy 'cat' explained she had to put her head down low and push through with her nose, but Little Black Cat was too scared to. It brought back memories of a futile escape attempt when she was in the car house. She’d pushed through a gap, going under a moving bit like the flap, but something fell down just as she pushed and it landed a whisker breadth away from her nose.

Over the next few days Little Black Cat got encouraged to try to push through the flap, but it was no good. Little Black Cat dug her claws in, as the humans would say, and a compromise was reached (for now) where the flap was propped up halfway so she had to push up to get out but she didn’t have to wear that horrid ball anymore.

From the typist:
She has spent the last week telling me the story for me to share with you but what she doesn’t know is that I think she is so cute when she is curled up slighly lying on her back with complete trust in her eyes letting me tickle her. She has brought so uch laughter and affection that I don’t know where I would be without her.

Long live my Little Black Cat!

The end…
(for now)
