I'm sure the vet will tell us everything we need to know, but any words of encouragement or advice?

I am sure she will be fine, as you know you are doing her a big favour, not only helping to prevent her from getting FIV & FeLV but also pyometra a life threatening infection and also reducing the chance of mammary tumors later in life. As we all know even one season increases the chances of a female cat getting it.

OK, so Josie's going to the (whisper it) v....e....t tomorrow to get her bits cut out. We've been putting it off and off and off, but the local tom who sired her last litter has been hanging around again lately, so the time has come...

I'm sure the vet will tell us everything we need to know, but any words of encouragement or advice?
