Sometimes the days just seem to be full of sorrow and memories, I used to write down what I was thinking about and sometimes there was no consoling me.

It will ease but not for a long time, you will never forget Dragan but give Charlie a stroke, cos Dragan sent him

Thank you all again for the lovely posts. I have brought his ashes home today. They are in the sweetest little casket you ever saw with a flower on the top. I have put them in his furry house for the last time. I also got a lovely condolence card and a different version of Rainbow Bridge that I never saw before.

Years ago, when we had to put our pet to sleep, i found this poem very comforting. I hope you get some comfort from it too.

Thank you all so very much for your lovely messages of support they are really helping me deal with this. I have lost furbabies before but the pain has never been this extreme. I am really struggling this morning and have wept buckets. I went onto a pet loss grief support site (I have been there before) and there is a little song "Precious Little Friend" written by a woman about saying goodbye to her dog. That made me weep buckets, sobbed even. But my little man is worth my tears.

Thank you Pav. I am mostly all cried out, went to bed last night with bulging red eyes and a mega headache. It was difficult this morning when he wasn't around and I didn't need to get his breakfast and his meds sorted and I have forgotten he is gone a couple of times. My tears are more in waves today.

I should get his ashes home on Tuesday which will be another sad day but it will be good to bring him home.

This is the first time in almost my whole life that I haven't had a furbaby to fuss over. It's not nice.

I will ring you definitely during the week, just a bit too emotional right now.

Hope BOY is fine today

oh, i am so so sorry, i know it's a very hard descission and one i will have to make in the coming weeks or months,
i am thinking of you, RIP Dragon you were so well loved.

Someone gave this to me many years ago when my mum had her dog pts, then when my dog died from a heart attack 6yrs ago i would read it over and over again, it would make me cry, but it helped and brought all the grief out--

I am so shocked to read this, I am so truly sorry, it is such a hard decision to have to make, and is the price we have to pay for having them in our lives. He was lucky to have such a wonderful owner who did the best by him though, and he will be grateful you were strong enough to do that for him. RIP little one.
