It seems to have settled, its hard to tell whether his going to the toilet though now that Milo is here, my biggest worry is his bladder getting blocked. Jess has only really ever wee'ed around twice a day, and this morning there was lots of wee in the downstairs litter tray so I'm assuming they had both been over night.

We've got the Cystease from the vets 100 tabs for £26 but in future I'll order them though work (I work for Dogs Trust, so our vet can order them for me)

I would try and limit the dry food and add water to his wet food, moisture is a good thing. Tom did best on mainly wet food (his only dry was a handful that was scattered over the front room floor as I went to bed, or he woke me up trying to find some at 5am) and Cystaid. Cystaid isn't a prescription item (and I don't think Cystease is either), so available through VetUK (please use a rescue link), you do have to buy 250 tablets though.

Cystaid is very similar to Cystease (something to do with one has alfalfa in it  ) but Taz seems to do better when on Cystaid.

Thanks everyone, it just breaks my heart when I see his little face when his in the litter tray trying to go!

We feed him JWB biscuits and Felix pouches,

His been to the toilet this morning and there was no blood so thats something,

Quite worried about leaving him in a couple of weeks but our cat sitter is brilliant and she is a vet nurse but I'll still worry!

Poor Jess, what do you feed him? Cystaid is another good thing to use, I Can't remember whether it is better than Cystease or not. I do hope you can get him sorted, poor thing.
Please spay your cat

If you have to go back to the vets its really easy for them to just take a sample, its nice and fresh then. Also less hassle then trying to make them pee on fake litter!

SOrry to hear Jess has cystitis again.  It's so uncomfortable when we have it and we know what it is.  Big HUG for him and hope he is soon feeling better again.

It's back,

We've been to the vets again this morning as its the third bout in 5 weeks. Seems its stress related and the trigger was us going on holiday in November.

Looks like his going to be on Cystease (not sure if this is spelt correctly) for life. We've got to get a water sample from him in a couple of weeks (once we're back and settled from our city break)

I just want my little man to be okay  :Luv:
