Yes that's what we offer Sharon as well, but I wasn't sure whether it depended branch to branch, anyway, still trying to get in touch with the people!

Many CP will help and assist to rehome a cat they have rehomed in the past. We are trying to do that with Purdy who we rehomed 2yrs ago (finances and new baby) but if we have no room they just go on the list of cats to come in...Even if they cannot take a cat in i am sure it can be directed to people if they ring up.. we put those types of cats on our website...

Cannot save the world, but if everyone does something we can have a jolly good job trying too....

I looked on a form and it says 6 months although I'm sure most branches wouldn't have this silly time limit. Much better to go on a waiting list than on the tree and end up anywhere  :scared:

I had a call the other week from someone that wanted us to take their cat as they were getting divorced. They mentioned in passing that they got it from a local small rescue - I asked if they had spoken to them first and she said no - anyway, I called the rescue and she arranged to collect the cat.

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

Thanks for the number x

He's an elderly chap so fingers crossed he won't be attractive to people wanting to breed etc.

I think the proviso is always if they have room but I am not aware of anyone from Coventry CP on this forum so would suggest you reply telling them to ring local cp on 02476 251491 and it will be an answermachine.

Just noticed on the Tree site that there's a cat on there which origionally came from the CP (or so the ad says). I thought that we were meant to take cats in if the owner's circumstances change?

PM me for details if anyone can clarify this  ;)
