Love that pic BC.  Shadow is beautiful.  All is tranquility here at the moment cos little madam is asleep  :cheer:  Ollie told her off this morning - she was charging about and nearly crashed into him.  She got spat at for her trouble and went to sit down quietly for all of 3 seconds.  I think she is just perfect, but the best bit is Ollie seems totally unphased by her and is carrying on as normal - well as normal as Ollie gets that is.  If he is on the cat tree you can stroke him all over, kiss him etc. but if he is on the dining room chair, you can only do ear rubs - anything more and he stalks off.  The mind of a cat.......

Much to my surprise, Ollie is, if anything, more relaxed than he was!  This is despite Little Madam charging up and downstairs at 1.00 in the morning sounding like a herd of wildebeest.  She is still a bit wary of the dog naturally, but this morning was sniffing his nose when he yawned and she peered down his throught!  The expression on Padraig's face was a picture - Sophie is obviously taking up lion taming in the future.  She is really affectionate but I think my quiz typing will be even worse than usual with her prancing all over the pooter and trying to kill the mouse flex

Congrats on your new kitten. Can't wait to see her.
The introduction rules didn't really apply when I got Tigger either, he fitted in brilliantly.

We've got her!!!!  THE most gorgeous little b/w girl who we are calling Sophie.  She has four white ankle socks and white top of chest and round her mouth and up forehead.  Son in law going to help with pics at weekend I hope.  I tried to follow the rules for introducing a new cat:
Keep in carrier for a shorttime and intoduce other animals gently.  Sophie then bounces out gives Ollie a brief sniff and sets off to explore, with Ollie behind.  No hisses or spitting.  Greyhound comes back from walk.  Sophie stopped for all of 4 seconds, skirted round him and carried on investigating.  She's charged up and down stairs like an elephant then Ollie was at the top of the stairs giving us a running commentary on what she was up to.  He is absolutely fascinated by her.  At the moment she is busy trying to disembowel a catnip mouse that Ollie never liked.  I think that she will settle in very well and Ollie seems to be reasonably happy, so even tho its very early days, I feel quitehopeful.

GOOD FOR YOU!

I hope it all goes well. There will be a bit of time of adjustment. But I am sure she will be just what Ollie needs. Good luck. My thoughts will be with you.

sweet and gentle might just work with nervy!! she can show him the ropes, but being a kitten will not threaten him. Fingers crossed puddy  - a chance to increase the black/b&W cat population in Medway!! Way to go!!! :wow:

I am trying Very hard not to get too excited but.... tomorrow we are going to look at a b/w 5mth old female kitten, with a view to adopting her (or entering more slavery) whichever way you look at it.  :Luv:  I do hope she is the one, but we will have to feel that she will fit in with the lovely Ollie.  The lady says she is very sweet and gentle which sounds hopeful, but I hope she is not quite so nervous as he is cos I don't know how I could deal with two nervy souls, although Ollie is coming on very well now.  Keep fingers crossed for us that she is the right furbabe.
