That roof sounds good, have you any pics? Its always nice to see cat proofed gardens that work  ;D

Have has anyone ever explained the importance of quarantining animals before mixing them together? Diseases such as FIE are really easily spread and one of our members Ela knows someone who lost 20 cats to it, including her own pets  :(
Its a very sad way to learn a valuable lesson

at christmas we have christmas cards made by the animal that we put in a local paper shop and sell door to door and for pick up...we lay white paper on a tarpaulin in the kitchen and put finger paint down the cats and dogs also get a big bath after it (seperately of course...)
then we cut the paper into a5 sized cards and write individual messages on them...its normally the kids who buy them because we do them for 50p and...we raised 63.50p and a few extra pennies at christmas for a turkey for the vats and a lamb joint to for dogs(sale prices of course and a large chunk got paid to the vets :])

Thanks for replying, i didnt think one wage would stretch that far so thought you may have had a secret to successful fundraising! Abit like Teresas xmas crackers which look very professional.

How long do you keep your cats for before letting them outside?

Sounds like you are doing great and seen your website but that looks quite new and unpopulated  ;D

How long have you been rescuing?

Would it help to add a name to to your screen name like on mine and then start a second account on Purrs with the other name in it, just so we know who we are talking to    Or would you find that too complicated to use?

hi its hannah replying this time...
yeah we are young but we live together in a 3 bed house and its rather large we have cats everywhere we dont put them in pens...
we give 3 of them our spare room(middle size) and 2 of them our other room and from there they can climb out of the window if they wish to the flat top of the shed. as they link to the shed...
we pay the bills like anyone else i work full time at 17 and i work 32 hours a week and  lauren stays at home to do the majority of the animal work and i cover for her when she is at university :]

WElcome again - good to see more young people getting involved in rescue, I was talking to someone at an Oldham based rescue about this. Typing purely in capitals is seen as shouting btw.
Thanks for the compliment Gill, certainly dont feel young at the moment!
Please spay your cat
