You AGAIN!!!

Yer, I'm lucky people are still looking out for my Smudgeroo.  I've lived in Queensbury for nearly 22 years and lots of people know me especially from my early days in the pubs when they could hear my laugh in every pub!!   Maybe one day I will get the phone call I am longing for.  But until then I have the support of you nice lot at Purrs and my Bonnie.

Happy 2008 everyone and let's hope it's happy and healthy for us all, especially our furry friends.

I'm so sorry it wasn't Smudge but at least people are kind enough to look out for him and that really increases your chances of him being found. I don't think that folks round my way would be so considerate as they seem only to be wrapped up in themselves.

I didn't expect to see the cat so close to where I live.  Everyone in the area where the cat lives now knows it isn't Smudge.  If it happens again I will put a note round it's collar.

At least while Smudge comes home I now have Bonnie that I adopted on 13th Dec.  She's keeping me sane and stopping me from crying all the time.  I will love having both of them together.  Hope it happens soon.

Its a shame that you have still not been reunited with Smudge - it must be so hard to have your hopes raised like this, only to find that it's his doppleganger each time.
I hope you find your lovely boy soon 
In the meantime, is it worth putting a paper collar on this wandering lookalike, saying he's NOT Smudge, and giving his real address?

Since my Smudge went missing in September I have had 4 phone calls from people who have seen a cat very similar to him and they have put him in their house until I have checked him over.  It was getting to be a laugh and whenever anyone phoned me I would describe the collar that the mystery cat was wearing before they did - similar to Smudge's but not the same - I would then tell them where the cat lived and to take it home. The mystery cat's home is about 6 mins in a car from me.

Oct, Nov - nothing.  HOWEVER, Tonight someone on a street very near to me called and said they thought they had Smudge. When I got there ..................YES, you guessed - it was the mystery cat!!!!!!!!!!!  I put it in my car and took it to it's home.
