Title: Eggs
Post by: Gwen on October 14, 2007, 09:12:38 AM
How safe are they for cats?  I remember we used to give our 19 year old bridge babe cat Pwt some scrambled egg now and then during her last 2 years and she loved it but how safe are eggs really for cats?

It's a case of everything in moderation. I used to feed the yolks to mine when I made pavlova, and their coats were magnificent. But I found out that too much can be really bad for them. So now they get a yolk maybe once a month, or longer, if I happen to have left-overs or am feeling generous.

I agree with BC a little of what you fancy is good for you.  My lot all love scrambled egg about once a month as a treat  ;)

Heres a previuos thread on eggs

The first time i fed it i got bits of egg spat over the floor, they found the texture odd!

A chef told me that proper scrambled egg doesnt have any milk added to it  ;D
