Title: spot-on flea treatment
Post by: The Duchess on August 21, 2007, 21:51:20 PM
...sigh...we give our 2 their treatments every 4 weeks - last w/end it was Jessie's turn and she's as good as gold albeit not v happy.  This w/end it was Cosmo's turn and, as usual, OH (who's 6ft 2" and not skinny ) and myself have had to psych ourselves up to try and get the fuzzy little terror  :scared:.

It's taken us 2 days before we could corner him in the kitchen and zap him :tired: but I refuse to allow myself to be beaten by the furball!

he's only got to hear the rustle of the foil tube and he's off under the bed where we can't reach him - grrr...

Try trapping him in a carrying cage which opens from the top BEFORE you fiddle with the vials. Then pop your hand in (blocking his exit) and squirt!

I always open the pack way of out Max's earshot, but he always seems to be able to smell the open tube and scarpers, little monster  :evillaugh:

I had hours of fun trying to spot-on Bertie and Bella with Frontline last night ... it ended with Bertie leaping from the bathroom window onto the flat roof below to escape his fate, leaving me holding his collar ... it took two hours to lure him down while my hysterical neighbours enjoyed the sight of him flaunting his collar-less nakedness from on high

"Try trapping him in a carrying cage which opens from the top BEFORE you fiddle with the vials. Then pop your hand in (blocking his exit) and squirt!" yeah, right, 'cos getting him in a carrier is easy...  ...well, not without buying a pair of Kevlar gauntlets.

I'm afraid Cosmo knows that he's king of this particular castle and that we're not brave/firm enough when it comes to dealing with him - we're just wimps  :scared:.

Just call us "mugs"  :evillaugh:
