Title: is Scooby spayed.
Post by: kittiesmom on July 12, 2013, 14:56:03 PM
:Luv2: I had Scooby and Tilly spayed when they were younger, they are now three, the problem is I noticed Scooby spraying the bushes yesterday, ( he always does but with no effect, ) but I saw spray come out like a hosepipe, twice it happened. Is this right, please can anyone advise.  :-:  :thanks:

The spaying operation, whether make or female, does not affect the urinary tract so spraying can continue after spaying. :)

They can still spray but it doesn't smell awful like tom cat wee does in a neutered cat. Sometimes ours do the tail vibrate thing but nothing comes out (thank heavens)  :scared:

Yes if he wants  ;D

Maybe there is a strange cat in the area and he is trying to mark.

Yours are gorgeous  ;D

Thanks Gill ,Misa is beautiful too. We live in the wilds and I haven't seen another cat but mine are outdoor cats and I know they can wander, maybe that's the answer. Will he always do it? Tilly doesn't. :Luv2:

We have 8 darling angel babies (4 boys and 4 girls of different ages) :innocent:  I think they pretty well all spray for one reason or another, sometimes just quivering tails but most times producing urine and sadly 2 regularly spray/wee indoors (not in the 4 trays provided  :( ).

I wouldn't worry in the least if it were all outdoors to be honest  :)
