My cat jumpEd out of a stationary car on Sunday in the middle of the countryside and is now missing. What is the best method to find her apart from calling her name.

Good morning and :welcome: to Purrs
Sorry to welcome you under such worrying circumstances.
My advice would be to buy or borrow a trap as quickly as possible, put some of Mitchy's favourite food inside it and place it close to the spot where Mitchy disappeared. From my experience traps do work but you will need to keep a very close eye on it and be ready to release critters that get caught in the trap accidentally.
Please keep us informed and the very best of luck

Leaflet any villages in the area, posters on trees maybe. Trap is a good idea. Also to go there when it is quieter - night is usually a good time and call her, rattle her favourite treats. If you have anything that smells of home that you could leave in the area - she may stick around for familiar smells until you can get her back.
Good luck

You need to put flyers through all the doors locally and shops, go door knocking, go back to the area when its dark and call for her.
She will need food so will be on the scavange and roads in country areas are very dangerous to cats as traffic tends to travel very fast at night.
Where was she lost? Do you live close?
You also need to get her on the loast and found registers with a picyure.
Does she have a chip and/or a collar?
I hope you find her............assune she is Tilly?
