Oh it's been a tough few months - today my boy Edgar went to join his lift long brother Oscar at the Rainbow Bridge.
Hardest thing I have ever had to do - I have loved all my cats but Edgar was my special boy. He was like my little human and the house is empty without him.
Just me and Nina left - she is lost without them both now and I worry how she will adjust. I am traveling for a few months early next year and my brother is thankfully taking Nina - the plan had been to take them both. So until I am home again it will be a lone cat household - it just doesn't feel the same!
I hope she will be ok and I hope my boy has met Oscar at the bridge and they are playing together.
Thanks for all the support yesterday about this horribile decision.

So sorry for Edgars loss I remember you adopting them from UKRCC
Sending hugs for you

Thank you Liz and well remembered.
I have just put a post on UKRCC thanking them for allowing me to have the wonderful time with the boys that I did. Nearly four years which was marvellous.
I was so lucky with them and I know it will get easier with time but right now the house seems so empty without them.
:thanks:

So very sorry to hear about Edgar

So sorry to hear about Edgar and am sure you made the right decision for him. Its strange just one out of four leaving makes the house empty so can understand losing two so close together must leave a great hole
RIP Edgar, and find your friend Oscar who will be waiting for you

:'( :'( Just posted, when I found out on Oscars memoriam post xx
Its the hardest decision but, in my opinion when the time is right - its the one last selfless, loving, thing you can do. My boy took away that decision from me and just never woke up, but I always swore that despite my broken heart, if i ever needed to I would make the right choice for babycats
Big hugs to you and Nina :Luv: :( Hope she is ok x
Its been just 4 weeks since my Nuggie became an alone cat and he's up and down so I understand your worry for her :(
Goodnight, God Bless Edgar xx Play well with Oscar on the Bridge xx

Aw, just been reading the other thread - so sorry to hear your news. You were there for him at the end and you did the right thing, which is all any cat can ask.
What you're feeling now will pass and you'll be able to remember him as he used to be, before he got sick.
Until then, take it easy and give Nina lots of fuss.

So sorry to hear this :( Must be absolutely devastating to lose them so close together :'(
RIP Edgar, reuinted with your brother at Rainbow Bridge by now xx

Thanks everyone for the kind words - last night was hard and the pain of waking and knowing he wasn't there - but I know in my heart it was for the best.
Nina and I will try our best to get through and I have a long weekend of nothing other than snuggles with my little girl planned xxxx

:( So sorry
RIP Edgar, with Oscar now xx

Had to share this photo of the boys not long after I adopted them from UKRCC. I shouldn't really be surprised Edgar didn't outlive Oscar for very long!
I hope they rest like this every night at the Rainbow Bridge :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:

Thank you everyone.
Had a very teary night tonight - torturing myself with old photos when my boy looked his best. Even found some old photos. Him and Oscar were so close - I am so glad to have those cherished memories of them :( :(
