has anyone used puppy training pads in a cat carrier, and if so do they work?
Trigger always poops within 5 minutes of being in his carrier, which is a bit unpleasant for whoever is driving him to the vet, whether a friend, taxi driver or bus driver
I know these pads are meant for wee-wees, but wondered if it would be easy to whip a soiled one out and replace with a clean one

i have. useful for cats that create a puddle then sit in it  also worked quite well for poop and less than solid poop- its better if they arent the sort to rearrange their flooring. also hard to put a new one in without taking the cat out first- fine at the vets but tbh, if your problem is solid youre probably better with a bag and a baby wipe IMO

I have one of those carriers with a covered gap in the top which you can open to put a hand in, and wondered about pulling out a used pad through it

Mogs had a couple of times where she weed in the carrier although it was possiblly my fault. Once was when I picked her up from the cattery and she hissed at me. I later realised she was probably letting me know she needed the tray before the box. The other was after a vet visit where her tummy was prodded and poked which would make me want to wee as well.
I got some pads but never actually used them and gave them to my bruv when he got a malemute pup. I found vet bed was good but as both accidents were on the way home its easier to wash than if its on the way out where you're faced with putting the cat back in
I think puppy pads are worth a try

I found that Franta couldnt grip cos they were sorta shiney and he was slipping around when in car...........but dont think thats a problem for you.

Probably sounds abit daft, but I use them with a woolly blanket over the top. The one time I didn't have one in Charlies carrier he pooed, and unfortunately he is the type to go undercover!!! What a mess, little tyke. Threw his blanket out and vet nurse put a new puppy pad in the carrier for the way home.
