Title: Boysie - friendly FIV cat looking for new home
Post by: Schmew on April 17, 2007, 21:43:22 PM
Hi all,

We have a lovely friendly black tom cat called Boysie staying with us on a foster basis, he is looking for a new home. He is about 2 years old, loves fusses and gives excellent headbutts.  ;D

He is neutered and vaccinated, and loves his food. He isn't fully integrated into the household as yet, but I am sure he would be fine to live with cat friendly dogs and most probably other cats - FIV of course, or could live happily on his own. He will need an indoor home, or one with access to a safe run or escape proof garden.

I am fostering him in the North West on behalf of PARRT (Northumberland) and he can be homed anywhere in the UK subject to a satisfactory homecheck.

Pics to follow

We do want to rehome another FIV+ cat for company for Louis. He's such a friendly little chap that I don't see it being a problem.

Woo Hooo what great news.  So pleased you decided to take Boysie and fingers crossed it will work out OK.  If you introduce them slowly I'm sure it will all go well.

Isn't it fab news!!! :wow: :wow: :wow:

Kelly has been thoroughly grilled and checked up on and I know Boysie is going to a lovely home. He is such a sweetie with other cats that I'm sure he and Louis will settle fine with time. Just waiting to make arrangements for him to be transported now.

Actually this has been another difficult one as he is so fab and I'd been prepared for him to be with us for the long haul....I have had a few wobbles about letting him go but I know he's going to a good home and it leaves a space for the next FIV needing a foster home...........I have to tell myself the same with all my fosters, cat and dog, it's like a mantra, I almost have to write it out and stick it on doors etc to remind myself.

And yes, photos needed, they'll make a lovely pair!

Fingers crossed the letting go isn't too hard for you Sue, but as you say, it gives you space to help another needy cat.

Picked Boysie up today and he was so good on the journey back (3 hours), he just curled up and went to sleep. He has had a good sniff around the place and is currently holed up behind the sofa. He has had some treats (I think eating is always a good sign that they aren't to stressed). He's just a little cutie :Luv:

Glad you're all home safe! Sounds like you had a nice peaceful journey with him, and I hope he's settling well and giving you lots of cuddles and headbutts. Please keep in touch, and give him a cuddle from me
